Adopt Korna

Female · Young · 3 years

♥ Virtual caregiver is Hanna J. ♥ A small, very young female dog was found on the territory of Błonie municipality. She arrived at the animal shelter on July 21, 2023. When she arrived, the female dog was a frightened wild animal, wouldn't let anyone touch her, and would hide in a corner. After two weeks, she already reacts much better to people, she still gets scared but approaches the hand, especially the one that feeds her, more boldly. Overall, the female dog is looking for contact with people, but she still needs a little more time to build trust. Korna also fears barking around dogs, but she eagerly and with curiosity approaches a calm, gentle dog and seeks support from it.

♥ Wirtualnym Opiekunem korny jest Hanna J. ♥ Niewielka, młodziutka suczka została znaleziona na terenie gminy Błonie. Trafiła do schroniska 21.07.2023 r.

About Korna

What life with Korna looks like

Korna is a small young adult dog waiting at Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Korna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Korna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Korna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Korna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Korna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Korna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych early rather than rehoming privately; they know Korna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
