adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Lando has found a home directly! His story: Lando stands with just about 1.5 months old and a shoulder height of around 20 cm, weighing in at 3.5 kg at the moment. He will certainly grow more. For now, he is simply a typical puppy – curious, playful, and ready to explore the world. His soft, light fur, the pretty light and dark brown markings on his face and body, and his attentive gaze make him a particularly cute little guy who quickly wins everyone's hearts. Character-wise, Lando shows himself to be a very sweet and affectionate puppy. He appears open, friendly, and age-appropriate curious about everything happening around him. Like any young puppy, Lando also wants to learn many things and explore the world step by step – preferably together with his future people. Lando gets along well with other dogs and shows social behavior. As he is still so young, he will be able to adapt to many situations with the right guidance and loving upbringing. His new family should be aware that a puppy needs time, patience, and consistency to develop into a balanced and secure companion. A positively working dog training class can support him and his people on this path – also during puberty, when the little ones often question what they have learned. Visually, it is already apparent that different breeds could be in Lando. Lando is now waiting to be discovered by his own family. For him, we wish people who are ready to accompany his growth, give him security, and patiently teach him everything a dog needs for a happy life by his people. Have you fallen in love with the little Lando? He travels vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Due to his young age, he is not neutered yet. For his travel arrangements, he of course brings his EU pet passport. A positive Also a foster home would be a wonderful start to a new life for him. Many thanks Gabi! You have given Lando his name and thus the chance at a happy life. As of: 11.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 11.03.2026

About Lando

What life with Lando looks like

Lando is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lando, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lando?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lando on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lando if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lando already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lando isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lando and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
