Good day, my name is Lara. I am an older female dog of the American Staffordshire Terrier breed. I was born around 2010. I came to the animal shelter on May 22, 2022, after being taken from my owner as a result of an intervention by the Municipal Police on Wolności Street. I was tied to a stove, in a state of untreated illness, and in tragic conditions. Right after being taken, I was transported to the Veterinary Center, where I underwent a detailed diagnosis. I was treated and had subsequent check-ups. My health has significantly stabilized, but at my age, we can't rest on our laurels. I should always be observed, because there are days when even leg pain bothers me. During this period of research and intensified care, I especially liked baths. Ah, those massages on my old spine, wonderful relaxation :) Although my moods are like the weather, my character is not the lightest, but I still have my group of fans among the volunteers and staff. I don't like being alone in the yard, I value good company. I hate the view when I am restricted by the fence and the caregiver doesn't take care of me. After all, I demand that right now :) I like walking, maybe not as fast as before, but a calm relaxing walk, why not? :) I also love the moment in the morning and evening when the caregiver comes to me with a ball of pate. Dzień dobry, mam na imię Lara. Jestem starszą suczką w typie rasy amerykański staffordshire terrier. Urodziłam się w okolicach 2010 roku. W schronisku zamieszkałam 22 maja 2022 roku, po tym jak zostałam odebrana właścicielowi w wyniku interwencji Straży Miejskiej przy ul. Wolności. Byłam uwiązywana do pieca, w stanie nieleczonej choroby, a do tego wszystkiego w tragicznych warunkach. Zaraz po odbiorze zostałam przewieziona do Centrum Weterynaryjnego, tam zostałam poddana szczegółowej diagnostyce. Miałam wdrożone leczenie oraz wykaz kolejnych kontroli. W tej chwili stan zdrowia znacznie się ustabilizował, jednakże w moim wieku nie można w tym zakresie spocząć na laurach. Stale powinnam być obserwowana, ponieważ bywają dni, kiedy doskwiera mi nawet ból w nogach. Z całego tego okresu badań i zintensyfikowanej pielęgnacji najbardziej spodobały mi się kąpiele. Ah te masaże po moim starym kręgosłupie, cudowny relaks :) Choć humory mam jak pogoda, charakter też nie należy do najlżejszych to i tak mam swoje grono fanów wśród wolontariuszy i pracowników. Na wybiegu nie lubię być sama, cenię sobie dobre towarzystwo. Nie znoszę widoku kiedy ogranicza mnie ogrodzenie, a opiekun się mną nie zajmuje. Przecież ja się domagam tu i teraz :) Lubię spacerować, może już nie tak szybko jak kiedyś, ale spokojny odprężający spacer, czemu nie ? :) Uwielbiam też ten moment rano i wieczorem kiedy przychodzi do mnie opiekun z kuleczką z pasztetu.
