adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Lasse can travel directly to his forever home! His story: Seven at once—and all irresistibly cute! Here come our new arrivals: Lasse, Efendi, Calvin, Lupine, Hektor, Ouzo, and Krümel. Found probably abandoned, these approximately 3-month-old puppies were discovered near a busy street. Fortunately, they received help and found temporary shelter in a Romanian foster home. However, in order to avoid moving to a less-than-ideal shelter, these little hearts are desperately in need of a wonderful home. Each of these seven puppy siblings is unique—whether fluffy, short-haired, spotted, or striped, no coat is like the other. This diversity makes it difficult to determine their exact breed mix. But as they grow, their varied personalities will surely show. One thing we can say with certainty: Each of them contains a huge portion of love and joy. The friendly Lasse is a picture-perfect puppy. He greets people with great openness and is exceptionally fond of cuddles. His greatest joy is leading his perky nose on a walk and exploring the world. His black-and-white coat couldn’t be more perfect and makes him a stunning male dog who will surely be the star on the leash. Currently, Lasse is 25 cm tall and weighs 5 kg. When fully grown, he is expected to have a medium build. Our colorful pack’s daily routine currently consists of all the wonderful things that puppyhood has to offer: running, playing, and snuggling—preferably with his foster parent, his siblings, or the many cats that surround him. These little adventurers are extremely curious, friendly, and cheerful, and will surely make wonderful companions with their open nature. However, our Lasse still needs a lot of support from his future people on the way to adulthood. Both everyday life and the big dog ABC need to be practiced. It’s important that his trusted people have enough time, as puppies should not be left alone for long periods in the first year. A training in a good dog training class could be particularly beneficial for Lasse during his pubertal phase, as he needs additional guidance and orientation during this time. To ensure that Lasse can lead a happy dog life, extensive walks, creative play, and plenty of snuggling should be integrated into his daily routine. Castration is age-dependent and not yet possible. Who will give this sunbeam his very own forever dog? Who can offer Lasse a suitable foster home? Please contact us if you can offer Lasse a foster home. Heartfelt thanks to Susann G. for giving him a wonderful name. As of: 06.10. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Stand: 06.10.2024

About Lasse

What life with Lasse looks like

Lasse is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lasse, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lasse?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lasse on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lasse if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lasse already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lasse isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lasse and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
