I am Lilo, a sweet 11-year-old lady. You could best describe me as a kind of old grandmother: gentle, calm, friendly and especially fond of cuddles. I ended up at DOA with my brother Stitch because my owner could no longer take care of us. Unfortunately, my brother was in poor health and was in a lot of pain... So I had to say goodbye to him. Since the separation, I have had a bit of a hard time. I miss him so much. When you've been together for years and suddenly you're left alone, it's quite an adjustment... Fortunately, I'm still a very sweet girl. At home, I'm very calm. I like to sleep a lot and come over to you in between for a pat on my head. And if you give me a nice cuddle, you make me very happy. You might think that a lady of my age just wants to lie on her pillow, but that's not true! Give me a ball and I get MEGA happy. Then it suddenly seems like I'm a few years younger! I can certainly appreciate a fun game from time to time. There's only one thing I really don't like: fireworks. I find it very scary and it gives me a lot of stress. That's why I need a quiet and safe home where my fear is taken into account. I am an older lady who is mainly looking for a warm place where I can spend my golden years. A nice home, nice people, soft beds, a ball from time to time and of course lots of cuddles... That sounds like the perfect life to me.

Hoi! Ik ben Lilo, een lieve dame van 11 jaar oud. Je zou mij het beste kunnen omschrijven als een soort oude oma: zacht, rustig, vriendelijk en vooral dol op knuffelen. Ik ben samen met mijn broer Stitch bij DOA terechtgekomen, omdat mijn baasje niet meer goed voor ons kon zorgen. Mijn broer was helaas medisch slecht en had veel pijn... Ik heb dus afscheid van hem moeten nemen. Sinds het afscheid, heb ik het best een beetje zwaar. Ik mis hem namelijk ontzettend. Als je jarenlang samen bent en ineens alleen achterblijft, is dat best even wennen… Gelukkig ben ik nog steeds een ontzettend lieve meid. In huis ben ik heel rustig. Ik slaap graag lekker veel en kom tussendoor gezellig even bij je langs voor een aai over mijn bolletje. En als je me een lekkere knuffel geeft, maak je me helemaal blij. Je zou misschien denken dat een dame van mijn leeftijd alleen maar rustig op haar kussen wil liggen, maar niets is minder waar! Geef mij een bal en ik word MEGA blij. Dan lijkt het ineens alsof ik weer een paar jaartjes jonger ben! Een gezellig spelletje op z'n tijd kan ik dus zeker waarderen. Er is alleen één ding waar ik echt helemaal niets van moet hebben: vuurwerk. Dat vind ik ontzettend eng en het geeft me veel stress. Ik heb daarom een rustig en veilig huis nodig waar er rekening wordt gehouden met mijn angst. Ik ben een wat oudere dame die vooral op zoek is naar een warm plekje waar ik mijn gouden jaren mag doorbrengen. Een fijn huis, lieve mensen, zachte mandjes, af en toe een balletje én natuurlijk heel veel knuffels… Dat klinkt voor mij als het perfecte leven.
