Lily – im Juni 2019 platziert

Mixed Breed · Female

Lily is a friendly and loving female dog. She was rehomed in an instant from an animal shelter to a family with young children. However, they had no experience with dogs and were immediately overwhelmed with Lily. We had to take her in on an emergency basis and she was placed in a private foster home. All this back and forth had taken a toll on Lily. She was stressed and didn’t understand the world anymore. Now, she has recovered very well and is ready for a new home with the right people. Lily is a very lovable and interested dog lady, approximately 45cm tall and weighs around 13kg. She gets along well with fellow animals. An independent second dog in the household would be ideal, as she loves to play with other dogs and run races. Lily needs patient and caring people who will earn her trust, have time for her, and provide mental stimulation and variety. With men, she can sometimes be a bit reserved and shy at first. Due to her stressful experience with young children, a family with slightly older children might be beneficial. Lily walks well on a leash, responds well to her name, is house-trained, and can stay alone at home for a few hours. She has no experience with cats in the household. When she comes too close, they may sometimes bark at her. Lily is vaccinated, microchipped, and rehomed.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
