LIMMA

Labrador Retriever · Female · Senior · 13 years

LIMMA - older Labbi girl in need - 13 years old, born ca. 2013, vaccinated, chipped, spayed, EU passport. - Waiting near 48155 Münster - LIMMA is 13 years old (estimated by the vet) and was scheduled for euthanasia at a killing station. We couldn't wait long and took her in. Currently, we can only offer her a small kennel, but she's alive. First, we had her blood work done. Her values are good for her age, her kidney values are a bit low, but she's underweight. She belongs to the smaller Labbi breed, less than knee-high. At the killing station, we don't learn anything about the dogs' past. Experience shows that dogs like her end up at the station because their owners have fallen ill or passed away. These dogs have usually not been well cared for in their last days, but they were once beloved family pets. Update October 2022: - LIMMA moved to a dog boarding facility, but of course, she won't stay there. LIMMA is friendly and sociable, and we're now looking for people who can give her a real home. She can stay alone for half a day. LIMMA knows life in a house and family, she's eager to sleep on a soft blanket again, she wants a bowl of good food twice a day, she enjoys cozy dog walks, and she wants nothing more than to be loved and give love back. If you give LIMMA a chance, you'll be amazed at how quickly she adapts to you. If you'd like to give LIMMA a home, contact: Ingrid Belz, email: - www.joshi2.de - We grant data access to all persons involved in animal welfare.

LIMMA - älteres Labbi Mädchen in Not - 13 J., geb.ca. 2013, geimpft, gechippt, kastriert, EU-Paß. About LIMMA

What life with LIMMA looks like

LIMMA is a senior labrador retriever dog waiting at Tier-Not-Hilfe in Germany.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting LIMMA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about LIMMA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tier-Not-Hilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw LIMMA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt LIMMA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tier-Not-Hilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is LIMMA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if LIMMA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tier-Not-Hilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know LIMMA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
