Lucian is a remarkable dog who has defied the odds to become a loving and affectionate companion. Despite growing up in the worst conditions imaginable, he has developed a deep love for the SaveTheDogs staff and showered them with attention. From the moment he arrived, Lucian has shone brightly, whether on a walk, in the park, or curled up on the couch in his foster home with his favorite person. He has BFF status and is desperate for a forever home where he can be the center of attention. Lucian's best friend in Constanta was Zoe, and she remains his closest companion today. They share a deep bond of trust and love. Lucian has also met some of the other dogs in the shelter and has behaved like the gentleman he is. He has a beautiful body language and exudes kindness. Given his gentle nature, we believe he could also form a strong bond with a cat in his new home – he has even given the shelter cats curious glances. We are now seeking a safe and loving home for our charming Lucian, where he can be the most important person in the world. The home should be in a quiet location, and the family should have plenty of time to spend together – socializing and shared activities are important to him, preferably outdoors in our beautiful countryside. If there is already a dog in the home, a happy female would be ideal – but Lucian would also be happy to live alone and be the center of attention. Not suitable for very young children. Please note – Lucian grew up in terrible conditions and must never be pressured into situations where he feels uncertain – around new people or in new environments. BackgroundAt the end of July, animal lovers across Europe were shocked by images from within one of Constanta's municipal shelters. Here, 560 dogs were crammed into an area designed for 120. They were stacked in cages so small that many could not even stand up or lie down properly. Others struggled for space in small enclosures full of dogs – sick, injured, and puppies.

Det är svårt att förstå hur Lucian kunnat utvecklas till den fantastiske hund han är – givet att han vuxit upp under de sämsta förutsättningarna. Från första minuten har han visat sin kärlek till SaveTheDogs personal och överöst dem med sina ömhetsbetygelser. Hela Lucian lyser upp när han får stå i centrum oavsett om det är på en av de uppskattade promenaderna, i lekparken eller uppkrupen i soffan i ”test-hemmet” med en favoritmänniska. Lucian har BFF-status ( Best Friend Forever ) och längtar verkligen efter en eller flera egna människor att ta hand om. Zoe var hans bästa vän i Constanta och hon är hans bästa vän idag. De har stor tillit och kärlek till varandra. Lucian har även fått träffa några andra av hägnets tikar och uppfört sig som den gentleman han är. Han har ett fint kroppsspråk och utstrålar vänlighet. Givet sin godmodiga karaktär tror vi att han även kommer att kunna bli god vän med en katt i sitt nya hem – han har skänkt hägnets katter nyfikna ögonkast. Till vår store charmör Lucian söker vi nu ett tryggt och kärleksfullt hem där han får bli den viktigaste killen i världen. Hemmet ska vara lite lugnare beläget och man bör ha mycket tid att tillbringa tillsammans – samvaro och gemensamma projekt är viktiga för honom, gärna då ute i våra härliga marker. Finns hund i hemmet är det trevligt, helst då en glad tik – men Lucian kan även tänka sig bo som ensam hund för att få lägga beslag på uppmärksamheten. Ej de allra minsta barnen hemmavid. Obs – Lucian har vuxit upp under fruktansvärda förhållanden och får aldrig pressas där han kan känna osäkerhet – inför nya människor och i nya miljöer.
