Luna

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Female Β· Young Β· 2 years

πŸŒ™ Meet Luna - a little cloud of love looking for a home of her own πŸ–€ Beautiful Luna is now ready to find the forever home she truly deserves. Luna came into our care from a home with multiple cats where many were sadly very unwell. When she arrived with us, she was in a heartbreaking state, with much of her fur missing due to a heavy flea infestation. But look at her now… With care, good food and lots of love, Luna is blossoming into the most beautiful fluffy girl, her coat growing back and her personality shining through more every day. Just like her mum Paris, Luna is an absolute cuddle bug. She loves attention and will often roll over dramatically for tummy tickles, purring away and flirting shamelessly for more fuss. She is a cat who forms a very strong bond with her person, and because she loves human attention so much, she would be happiest in a home where she doesn’t have to share her humans with other cats. About Luna: 🐾 Approx 18-24 months old 🐾 Maine Coon cross with a beautiful fluffy black coat 🐾 Neutered, microchipped & first vaccinations included 🐾 A loving, affectionate girl who adores cuddles Home requirements: 🏑 A calm, loving home 🐱 Best as the only cat so she can have her humans all to herself 🚫 Not suitable for homes with dogs Luna has come such a long way since arriving with us, and now she’s ready for the next chapter a safe, warm home where she can spend her days being adored and her evenings curled up beside her favourite human. If you think you might be the one Luna has been waiting for, please get in touch.

About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at StraySafe Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. StraySafe Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” StraySafe Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with StraySafe Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
