Machello came to us as a result of a death. He is definitely not a lap cat and keeps as much distance from people as possible, not hesitating to use his claws and teeth if escape is not possible. According to our information, he has always been this way – likely born as a half-wild cat. Whether he behaves the same way with familiar and trusted people or can relax with them, we cannot say at this point. However, he now often ventures out of his hiding place with familiar people but still maintains a distance. He also does not seem to share a home with other cats very willingly. While he does not actively seek conflict, he also clearly makes his individual space known. As a single cat, he would likely be happier in the future. For the time being, we are looking for a patient, quiet home for Machello, where he can enjoy a cat-friendly roam in a quiet environment; without young children or other cats. This cat needs outdoor access.

Machello kam infolge eines Todesfalls zu uns. Er ist definitiv kein Schmusekater, hält zu Menschen so viel Abstand wie möglich und scheut sich nicht davor, Krallen und Zähne einzusetzen, wenn eine Flucht nicht möglich ist. Unseren Informationen nach, war das von Geburt an so - vermutlich wurde er als halbwilde Katze geboren. Ob er sich mit ihm gut bekannten und vertrauten Menschen ebenso verhält, oder sich mit diesen etwas besser fallen lassen und entspannen kann, können wir zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch nicht sagen. Mittlerweile traut er sich bei gut bekannten Personen aber des Öfteren aus seinem Versteck. Auf Abstand besteht er aber weiterhin. Auch mit anderen Katzen scheint er nicht so gern ein Zuhause zu teilen. Zwar sucht er nicht konkret die Auseinandersetzung, weiß aber auch hier seine Individualdistanz deutlich zu machen. Als Einzelkater wäre er künftig sicher glücklicher. Zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt suchen wir für Machello ein geduldiges, ruhiges Zuhause, in dem er jederzeit katzengerechten Freigang in verkehrsarmer Umgebung genießen kann; ohne Kleinkinder oder andere Katzen.
