About Machello

Machello came to us following a death in the family. He is definitely not a cuddly cat, keeps as much distance from people as possible, and doesn't hesitate to use his claws and teeth if escape isn't possible. According to our information, he's been like this since birth – he was probably born as a semi-feral cat. Whether he behaves the same way with people he knows well, or whether he can relax and unwind more with them, we can't yet say. He has recently started venturing out of his hiding place more often around people he knows well, but he still insists on keeping his distance. He also doesn't seem to enjoy sharing a home with other cats. While he doesn't actively seek out confrontations, he certainly knows how to assert his personal space. He would undoubtedly be happier as an only cat. At this time, we are looking for a patient, quiet home for Machello where he can enjoy cat-appropriate outdoor access in a low-traffic area at any time; without small children or other cats.

Machello kam infolge eines Todesfalls zu uns. Er ist definitiv kein Schmusekater, hält zu Menschen so viel Abstand wie möglich und scheut sich nicht davor, Krallen und Zähne einzusetzen, wenn eine Flucht nicht möglich ist. Unseren Informationen nach, war das von Geburt an so - vermutlich wurde er als halbwilde Katze geboren. Ob er sich mit ihm gut bekannten und vertrauten Menschen ebenso verhält, oder sich mit diesen etwas besser fallen lassen und entspannen kann, können wir zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch nicht sagen. Mittlerweile traut er sich bei gut bekannten Personen aber des Öfteren aus seinem Versteck. Auf Abstand besteht er aber weiterhin. Auch mit anderen Katzen scheint er nicht so gern ein Zuhause zu teilen. Zwar sucht er nicht konkret die Auseinandersetzung, weiß aber auch hier seine Individualdistanz deutlich zu machen. Als Einzelkater wäre er künftig sicher glücklicher. Zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt suchen wir für Machello ein geduldiges, ruhiges Zuhause, in dem er jederzeit katzengerechten Freigang in verkehrsarmer Umgebung genießen kann; ohne Kleinkinder oder andere Katzen.
