Mailo

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Compatible with other animals? Can be alone for some hours? Name: Mailo Age: 1 year old Gender: male dog Personality: He is intelligent, loving, enjoys going for walks, cuddly, and clingy Birthday: 11.03.2024 He can be very lonely, so someone is needed who is always there or maybe someone who can gradually get him used to being alone over a longer period of time. He is a very restless, anxious, and insecure dog. We need people who are experienced with dogs and have a garden, preferably living in a rural area. He knows city life but is quickly overwhelmed and insecure. He is very sensitive, and one should be familiar with his breed. We picked him up from the breeder when he was just 7 months old. We can no longer give him what he desperately needs, and we have given him everything he could stay with, but that isn't enough. We hope for a quick home for our Mailo. Contact:

What life with Mailo looks like

Mailo is a young adult mixed breed animal waiting at Tierschutz Celle in Celle.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Mailo far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mailo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mailo?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz Celle handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mailo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mailo if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierschutz Celle what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Mailo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierschutz Celle directly what is included and what Mailo still needs.
What happens if Mailo isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz Celle early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mailo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
