Meet the chubby-cheeked boy with the soft little jowls. We’re not quite sure what happened with Malibu, when he was younger, he looked delicate, with a pointy little snout. But suddenly his cheeks grew, he got those adorable little jowls, and now he’s even more lovable than before. Malibu came to us with his five siblings. In the first days, all the puppies were very scared, they wouldn’t come near us, they barked, and kept their distance. All except him. He was the only one who approached us from the very beginning, hesitantly and gently, but he did. With his incredibly sweet face and calm nature, he came close, sniffed us, and allowed us to softly pet his head. As he grew up in the shelter, he went through phases, sometimes more shy, sometimes more open, until he eventually found his balance. Time passed, and he’s still with us. Now he’s a happy, playful dog. A truly sweet soul who plays with his toys, with the people he knows at the shelter, even with the cats. He just wants to enjoy life and do all the things dogs are meant to do. He goes on walks with our volunteers, and that’s when he shows just how affectionate he is. He loves being petted, he loves being around people, and he enjoys observing and exploring the world around him. Malibu, the puppy who came and grew up with us, who became a dog within the shelter, whom we watched grow, open up, learn, and thrive, now needs just one thing: a home.
