Malli

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

♀, born around 1/2024, athletic - social - intelligent in Spain Malli is a ca. 1/2024 born Malinois female dog with a shoulder height of around 60 - 65 cm. In late September 2024, Malli came to the animal shelter after her owners were forcibly evicted from their apartment. She had lived there with another dog, which her owners picked up from the shelter; they left Malli behind because they no longer had room for her. She has been eagerly waiting for a loving, adequate home and a cozy warm dog bed to live happily and securely. Malli is a sensitive, very active, and intelligent young Malinois female dog who would benefit from more physical and mental activity than the animal shelter can provide. She is seeking an experienced home and people who know the Malinois breed and understand that they cannot be kept alongside other activities. Malli is a sporty and people-oriented female dog. People who regularly engage in dog sports activities would be ideal for her. Malli is friendly, clingy, cuddly, and open with people. A quiet rural home and environment with a completely fenced garden, where she can freely run and play without a leash, would be optimal. An urban home and environment would not be right for Malli. Children, cats, and/or small animals should not be present in her future home. According to the breed, Malli not only needs physical but also mental support and challenge. Malinois dogs have a high energy level and are extremely intelligent. They learn quickly and have a high need for movement. Due to their high activity and learning drive, it is especially important for the Malinois to be cognitively stimulated. Regular dog training should therefore be on the agenda. Suitable for this are, for example, practical dog sports like mantrailing, agility/THS and/or tracking training. Without proper and adequate treatment, a confident Malinois can become challenging and problematic for its environment. Malli is very people-oriented and will not be rehomed in a kennel or outdoor environment. Malli is already neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for Mediterranean diseases. She is located in an animal shelter in Andalusia, Spain. The adoption fee for Malli is 560 Euros. Would you like to give Malli a home? About Malli

What life with Malli looks like

Malli is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Malli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Malli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Malli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Malli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Malli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Malli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Malli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
