She was rescued from euthanasia - a place full of fear, hopelessness and uncertainty. We don't know how long she had to endure there or what she experienced before. But one thing is certain: at some point, Marlene lost her trust in people. Now she lives in our private shelter in Zalau and is waiting for the chance to finally arrive and learn that there are also loving hands and safe places. And yet, Marlene carries a quiet hope within herself. A hope that somewhere, people are waiting for her who will meet her with patience, understanding and love and show her that she never has to be afraid again. Marlene is about 5 years old, around 58 cm tall and weighs about 25 kg. Thus, she belongs to the medium-sized dogs. Right at first glance, her beautiful black and white coat stands out. Her fur is predominantly dazzling white and gives her a friendly appearance. Particularly nice is her distinctive facial markings: her ears and the area around her eyes are dark black and look like a small, symmetrical mask. A fine white stripe runs centrally over her forehead and nose and creates a beautiful contrast to the dark fur. From her large, dark eyes, Marlene looks attentively, cautiously and at the same time incredibly gently into the world. And when she shows her pink tongue and gives one of her rare happy expressions, you can immediately feel how much joy of life is actually in her. With her athletic and harmonious body structure, Marlene stands on strong white legs and would actually be the perfect companion for walks and adventures in nature - if only someone gave her the time to learn to trust. At first, Marlene was very shy and reserved. She only observed us cautiously from her hut and preferred to keep her distance. But over time she became friendlier and slowly began to open up - maybe also with a little support from delicious canned food. Today she already allows herself to be stroked, seeks our company and attentively looks at us with her wonderful eyes. You can tell that she wants to trust, even though her fears are still deep-rooted. Especially difficult for Marlene right now is the leash training. She is very afraid of it, hides and clearly shows how unsettled and unwilling she is in this situation. Therefore, Marlene needs people who respect her limits, do not force anything and give her the time she needs. With patience, calmness and a safe environment, she will learn that no one wants to harm her. Marlene is compatible with other dogs, which could provide additional security for her in her future home. When Marlene moves into her new home, everything will be new and unfamiliar for her. The life in the house, everyday noises, walks on a leash and fixed routines probably know little or nothing about. Therefore, she needs people who patiently and understandingly explain the world step by step. Small progress will be great successes for Marlene. A visit to a positive working dog school - ideally with experience in working with insecure dogs - could help her build confidence and develop security together with her humans. Never should pressure be applied, but always patience and positive reinforcement should be in the foreground. Of course, Marlene also needs stimulation and shared activities once she has arrived. Quiet walks, sniffing games, small puzzles or simply exploring the world together can help her gain self-confidence and strengthen the bond with her humans. It will be important not to overwhelm or pressure her, but to give her the opportunity to blossom at her own pace. For Marlene, we wish a loving, empathetic and calm home with people who are not looking for the perfect dog, but want to give a wounded heart a real chance. People who understand that trust has to grow - and who are willing to walk this path together with her. Marlene and you, would that be something? Marlene ist eine sanfte, liebe und eher zurückhaltende Hündin, die inzwischen immer mehr Vertrauen zu ihren vertrauten Menschen fasst. Was anfangs kaum vorstellbar war, ist heute möglich: Marlene lässt sich von den Helfern gut anfassen, genießt ihre Nähe und kommt sogar aktiv zum Zwinger, wenn Leckerlis verteilt werden. Sie nimmt die kleinen Leckerbissen gerne entgegen und zeigt damit, dass sie Schritt für Schritt lernt, den Menschen wieder zu vertrauen. Mit anderen Hunden ist sie gut verträglich. Marlene braucht Menschen, die ihre Fortschritte sehen und ihr die Zeit geben, die sie benötigt, um weiter aufzublühen. Marlene ist ca. 5,5 Jahre alt, etwa 58 cm groß und wiegt rund 25 kg. Mit ihrer wunderschönen schwarz-weißen Fellzeichnung und ihren großen, ausdrucksstarken Augen ist sie eine ganz besondere Hündin. Ihre sanfte Ausstrahlung passt dabei wunderbar zu ihrem zurückhaltenden Wesen. Marlene gehört zu den Hunden, deren Vergangenheit tiefe Spuren hinterlassen hat. Sie wurde aus der Tötung gerettet – einem Ort voller Angst, Hoffnungslosigkeit und Unsicherheit. Wie lange sie dort ausharren musste und was sie zuvor erlebt hat, wissen wir nicht. Doch eines ist sicher: Marlene hat irgendwann das Vertrauen in die Menschen verloren. Nun lebt sie in unserem privaten Shelter in Zalau und wartet dort auf ihre Chance auf ein sicheres und liebevolles Zuhause. Als Marlene in unsere Auffangstation kam, war sie sehr schüchtern und verbrachte viel Zeit in ihrer Hütte. Sie beobachtete die Menschen zunächst vorsichtig aus sicherer Entfernung. Nun zeigt sie bereits erste erkennbare Fortschritte: Zu den ihr vertrauten Menschen fasst sie zunehmend Vertrauen und lässt deren Nähe immer besser zu. Marlene ist eine sanfte und bescheidene Hündin, die sich mit der Zeit immer mehr öffnet. Von ihr vertrauten Menschen lässt sie sich mittlerweile gerne streicheln und sucht deren Nähe. Auch ihre Freude über Leckerlis hilft ihr dabei, Kontakt aufzunehmen. Mit anderen Hunden ist sie gut verträglich und zeigt sich insgesamt freundlich und angenehm. Eine besondere Herausforderung ist für Marlene derzeit noch das Anleinen. Davor hat sie große Angst. Sie versteckt sich und lässt das Anlegen der Leine momentan nicht zu. Wird in dieser Situation zu viel Druck ausgeübt, kann sie ihre Unsicherheit auch deutlich zeigen. Deshalb ist es bei Marlene besonders wichtig, ihre Grenzen zu respektieren und nichts zu erzwingen. Sie braucht Menschen, die ihr Zeit geben und ihr in kleinen, für sie machbaren Schritten Sicherheit vermitteln. Das Leben in einem eigenen Zuhause kennt Marlene vermutlich noch nicht. Haushaltsgeräusche, feste Abläufe, Spaziergänge und insbesondere die Leine werden für sie zunächst neu sein. Ihre zukünftigen Menschen sollten deshalb geduldig, empathisch und möglichst erfahren im Umgang mit unsicheren Hunden sein. Ein souveräner Ersthund könnte Marlene im neuen Zuhause zusätzliche Orientierung geben, ist aber keine Voraussetzung für ihre
