Adopt Marley

Mixed Breed · Male

Marley is currently in a foster home and with full confidence we can say that this is a snuggle-ready dog for immediate adoption. He most prefers to spend time close to people, looks into their eyes, nuzzles, and checks to make sure you're not going anywhere. He is very cheerful and affectionate, though he has a sensitive heart inside - sudden movements and loud noises can still scare him, so he's best suited for calm, attentive caregivers. Marley completely trusts his temporary human, and gradually convinces the rest of the household, but does so systematically and gracefully. On walks, Marley is a well-mannered gentleman dog. He greets people with a curious look, without barking or drama. With known dogs, he forms a harmonious team and quickly fitted into the group at the foster home - playing together, stealing beds, and cuddles are part of daily routine. Sometimes, on walks, he may bark and growl at unfamiliar dogs, but with caregiver support, it can be easily calmed down. He joyfully receives guests, although with the watchful eye of a host. In the house, Marley is a first-class clean-up expert - signals the need to go out and patiently waits for his turn for a walk. He is very sociable with other dogs, doesn't get into conflicts, but gladly shares the residents' beds and benefits from their warmth. He mainly ignores cats; once there was a brief "what's this noise?" and a chase after the loud scratching of the cat, but upon being reminded, he immediately returned to the calm roommate mode. Currently, the cat may rub against him, and Marley accepts it with dignity. He treats children with great courtesy. At first, he prefers to observe from a distance, but curiosity soon wins and he comes to meet them. He is gentle with younger children and problem-free with older ones, although it's worth remembering that loud shouts and sudden movements may stress him - then he communicates discomfort with a quiet whimper, more like "hey, please be calm". Marley loves his human very much and... misses him a bit when he's gone. The absence of the caregiver is experienced with whining and staying by the door. Work is currently ongoing on this issue in the foster home, and the future caregiver should be ready to continue at a calm pace. In return, you get a dog who follows you like a shadow and faithfully watches to make sure you don't feel lonely. He walks well on a leash, allows himself to be led, and despite a noticeable growth, is currently a slim guy without any tendency to push. He doesn't jump into the car by himself, but allows himself to be elegantly packed and curls up into a ball like a professional passenger during the trip. At home, he rarely barks without reason - unless he is left alone and really wants to go with you. This is a sensitive, affectionate, and funny dog who is looking for a quiet home where he can continue to build his confidence and give out cuddles left and right. If you dream of a loyal companion with soft fur and an even softer heart, Marley from the foster home is ready for adoption. —- DOG PROFILE —- 🧮 Year of birth: 04/2023 🚻 Gender: male 🐾 Size: 20kg 🏀 Activity: medium ❤️ Neutered: yes ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes ✅ Dog is under the care of the Tricity branch of the Judyta Puppies Foundation ✅ Dog is located in a foster home in the area of Tricity and surroundings ✅ Adoption obligation: completing the questionnaire, pre-adoption visit, and signing the adoption agreement ✅ LINK TO QUESTIONNAIRE:

Ludzi wita spojrzeniem pełnym ciekawości, bez szczekania i dram. Jeśli marzy ci się wierny towarzysz z miękkim futrem i jeszcze miększym sercem, Marley z domu tymczasowego melduje gotowość do przeprowadzki.

About Marley

What life with Marley looks like

Marley is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marley, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marley?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marley on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marley if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marley already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marley isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marley and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
