Kater Mars is via stichting Hokazo bij stichting Animal’s Faith terecht gekomen begin 2026. Samen met een groep meer en minder schuwe katten. Mars vindt mensen nog steeds heel eng. En hij verstopt zich zo ver mogelijk weg wanneer de groep verzorgd wordt. Of hij zoekt een plekje ver buiten aaibereik. Met overtuigend geblaas zorgt Mars ervoor dat hij niet wordt “lastig gevallen”. Alhoewel, toen hij pas geleden op een veilige afstand wat kattensnoepjes kon verorberen, knipoogde hij… met beide oogjes. Een klein beetje meer vertrouwen, een klein stapje vooruit. Met zijn jonge leeftijd van 3 jaar heeft Mars tijd genoeg - vindt hij - om niets te overhaasten. Zijn toekomstig baasje daarentegen heeft een engelengeduld nodig. En kattensnoepjes. Of Mars natvoer lekker vindt weten we niet, hij komt daarvoor nooit aangerend. Maar zijn conditie is goed, dus met een variatie van droge brokjes en water is hij heel tevreden.
