Marylin

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Marylin – a funny little young female puppy Marylin lived with her mother and brother with an older man who could no longer take care of the dogs. So they came to our animal shelter in Hungary. Marylin has therefore not been able to get to know much yet. At first, she is a bit reserved and cautious around strangers. But once she has built trust, Marylin is very cuddly and loves cuddles. She also shows her witty and energetic young-dog personality. Marylin has not yet had many experiences with other animals. Here, she can still learn more. We are currently practicing walking on a leash with her, and that is getting better! For Marylin, we are looking for people who are willing and have the time to continue working on her upbringing with patience and friendly consistency and to show her more of the world. A visit to a good dog training class would also be beneficial with Marylin. Who falls in love with this cute, witty, and lively little female dog? Marylin can depart in early June. Direct adoption upon arrival in Switzerland or picking her up in Hungary is preferred. We are happy to provide more information!. This is a young, adolescent dog.

DE·Show original

About Marylin

What life with Marylin looks like

Marylin is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs in Yourheart4dogs.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marylin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marylin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marylin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marylin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marylin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marylin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Your Heart 4 Rescued Dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marylin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
