Maszlo was abandoned as a small puppy at an old factory area, where he had to survive all alone. Fortunately, there was a kind lady who regularly fed him and kept an eye on him. She unfortunately could not take him in. In addition, people living nearby did not want dogs to be fed there. Threats were even made that could have been fatal for Maszlo. Luckily, rescuer Matild heard about his situation and decided to act immediately. With limited resources, she managed to improvise a temporary shelter in someone's garden so that he would at least be safe. Unfortunately, this is not a permanent solution, and he has to leave again for the winter. He is now staying at Matild's shelter. Despite everything he has experienced, Maszlo remains a very friendly and loving dog. He loves people, enjoys attention, and likes to make contact. In addition, he gets along well with other dogs and cats. Rescuer Matild also walks Maszlo on a leash so that he can get used to it. Yet one important thing is still missing in his life: a home of his own where he can really relax and feel loved. Update April 2026: In April 2026, our volunteers went to Romania, where they met Maszlo personally. Upon arrival, he found the visit quite exciting. However, he was clearly interested and kept looking curiously at us. Occasionally, he came cautiously closer, although he was not yet ready to be petted or accept a treat. As soon as his caregiver came, his attitude changed visibly. Maszlo became enthusiastic, immediately went towards her, and greeted her lovingly. This way, our volunteers could see that he is a loyal and attached dog with people he knows. Therefore, Maszlo needs a quiet home where he can take the time to adjust and build trust. When he feels safe, he clearly shows his beautiful and gentle side. Therefore, we are urgently looking for a warm adopter for this special dog: someone who wants to give Maszlo a safe place, a soft bed, and a bright future. Can it be you? Maszlo werd als kleine puppy gedumpt bij een oud fabrieksterrein, waar hij helemaal alleen moest zien te overleven. Gelukkig was er een lieve mevrouw die hem regelmatig eten gaf en een oogje in het zeil hield. Zelf kon zij hem helaas niet opvangen. Daarnaast woonden er in de omgeving ook mensen die absoluut niet wilden dat honden daar gevoerd werden. Er werden zelfs dreigementen geuit die voor Maszlo fataal hadden kunnen aflopen. Gelukkig hoorde rescuer Matild over zijn situatie en besloot zij direct in te grijpen. Met beperkte middelen wist zij een tijdelijk hok in iemand zijn tuin te improviseren, zodat hij tenminste veilig was. Helaas is dit geen blijvende oplossing en moet hij daar voor de winter weer vertrekken. Hij verblijft nu in de shelter van Matild. Ondanks alles wat hij heeft meegemaakt, is Maszlo een ontzettend vriendelijke en lieve hond gebleven. Hij houdt van mensen, geniet van aandacht en vindt het fijn om contact te maken. Daarnaast kan hij goed overweg met andere honden én met katten. Rescuer Matild wandelt ook met Maszlo aan de lijn, zodat hij hier al aan kan wennen. Toch mist er nog één belangrijk ding in zijn leven: een eigen thuis waar hij echt mag ontspannen en zich geliefd mag voelen. Update april 2026: In april 2026 gingen onze vrijwilligers naar Roemenië, waar zij Maszlo persoonlijk hebben leren kennen. Bij binnenkomst vond hij het bezoek best spannend. Toch was hij duidelijk geïnteresseerd en bleef hij nieuwsgierig naar ons kijken. Af en toe kwam hij voorzichtig wat dichterbij, al was hij nog niet zover om zich direct te laten aaien of een koekje aan te nemen. Zodra zijn verzorger erbij kwam, veranderde zijn houding zichtbaar. Maszlo werd enthousiast, liep meteen naar haar toe en begroette haar liefdevol. Daardoor konden onze vrijwilligers goed zien dat hij bij mensen die hij kent een aanhankelijke en trouwe hond is. Maszlo heeft daarom een rustig thuis nodig waar hij de tijd krijgt om te wennen en vertrouwen op te bouwen. Wanneer hij zich veilig voelt, laat hij duidelijk zijn mooie en zachte kant zien. Daarom zoeken wij met spoed een warme adoptant voor deze bijzondere hond: iemand die Maszlo een veilige plek, een zachte mand en een mooie toekomst wil geven. Mag dat bij jou?
