Maylo, a 2023-born American Staffordshire Terrier-Jagdhund-Mix male, is a loving dog in need of a short introduction period as he is very stressed in the shelter. Maylo has lived with children in his previous home, but children in the future home should be stable. According to his previous owner, Maylo is compatible with other dogs, although we cannot verify this in the shelter due to his high stress level. Maylo is also compatible with cats, according to his previous owner. Maylo is house-trained, but pulls on the leash due to stress, and is already well-behaved on the leash outside the shelter, but reacts stressed to dog encounters. The loving male knows basic commands and could be left alone in his previous home (this will likely need to be refreshed after the stressful shelter stay, so sufficient time or a backup plan should be planned). According to his previous owner, he defends food against other animals, so Maylo should be an only dog in his future home. We are looking for a home for Maylo in a quiet suburban or rural area.

In seinem letzten Zuhause hat Maylo auch mit Kindern zusammengelebt, Kinder im zukünftigen Zuhause sollten jedoch standfest sein. Mit anderen Hunden ist Maylo lt. Vorbesitzer verträglich – im Tierheim können wir das leider nicht verifizieren, da sein Stresslevel für Hundekontakte zu hoch ist. Auch mit Katzen ist Maylo lt. Vorbesitzer verträglich. Maylo ist stubenrein, an der Leine zieht er bei uns stressbedingt, außerhalb des Tierheims geht er bereits brav an der Leine, bei Hundebegegnungen reagiert er jedoch noch gestresst. Der liebe Rüde kennt die Grundkommandos und konnte in seinem letzten Zuhause auch alleine bleiben (dies wird nach dem stressigen Tierheimaufenthalt bestimmt aufgefrischt werden müssen – hierfür ist daher ausreichend Zeit bzw. ein Backup einzuplanen). Lt. Vorbesitzer verteidigt er Futter gegenüber anderen Tieren, weswegen Maylo in seinem zukünftigen Zuhause Einzelprinz sein sollte. Für Maylo suchen wir ein Zuhause am ruhigen Stadtrand oder Land.“
