Mila was abandoned next to a large ironworks when she was only a few months old. There, she spent many months, left to the mercy of people who passed by. Some gave her food and petted her, while others chased her and even hit her. A kind girl from a nearby store took care of her, giving her food and basic necessities to survive, as well as affection. There were many abandoned males in that factory, and since Mila was no longer a puppy but a mature female, the girl alerted activists from Smederevo to collect funds for her sterilization. Our association then decided to spay and vaccinate her immediately. Mila got a godfather who took all the costs of her accommodation. Returning to the street after being spayed was not an option for us. We provided her with a boarding facility, hoping that someone would soon come forward and inquire about her. Unfortunately, black dogs wait the longest for a home. We truly hope that Mila will finally find people who will love and pamper her. She has been through so much over these years and days, but life is just beginning for her!

Mila je, kada je imala samo nekoliko meseci, izbačena pored velike železare. Tamo je provela mnogo meseci, prepuštena milosti i nemilosti ljudi koji su prolazili. Neki su joj davali hranu i mazili je, dok su je drugi terali i čak udarali. O njoj je brinula divna devojka iz obližnje prodavnice, koja joj je davala hranu i osnovne stvari potrebne da preživi, kao i nežnost. U toj fabrici bilo je mnogo napuštenih mužjaka, a pošto Mila više nije bila štene već zrela ženka, devojka je alarmirala aktiviste iz Smedereva kako bi sakupili sredstva za njenu sterilizaciju. Naše udruženje je tada odlučilo da je odmah steriliše i vakciniše. Mila je dobila i kuma koji je preuzeo sve troškove njenog smeštaja. Povratak na ulicu posle sterilizacije za nas nije bio opcija. Obezbedili smo joj pansion, u nadi da će se uskoro neko javiti i raspitati se za nju. Nažalost, crni psi najduže čekaju dom. Iskreno se nadamo da će Mila konačno pronaći ljude koji će je voleti i maziti. Proživela je mnogo tokom ovih godinu i po dana, ali život je tek pred njom!
