Adopt Milly

European Shorthair · Unknown

Milly is a very easy-going young cat who even settled into the animal shelter quite quickly 😀 She is very curious, playful, and extremely social with her fellow animals. Only at first is she a bit shy and reserved. As she is very lively and always longs to be outside, we are looking for a home with a free roam in a rural area for her. A purely apartment-living situation might be possible if there are fellow animals and enough space to play and a very large balcony or terrace is available. And of course, people who can provide her with plenty of mental stimulation ❤️ Children who know how to handle animals responsibly are definitely no problem for her 🙂 Do you think you are the right person for Milly or would you like to get to know her better? Then contact the animal shelter Wörgl: 0664 – 849 5351 t -> Back to the cat overview Interested? Click here and contact us!. This cat needs outdoor access. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

About Milly

What life with Milly looks like

Milly is a extra-large adult european shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein für Tirol in Innsbruck.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein für Tirol handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein für Tirol will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein für Tirol early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
