Milo

English Bulldog · Male · Young · 3 years

Milo is an affectionate 3 year old French Bulldog cross ready and looking for his forever home.Milo is a happy and social boy who has been a joy in his foster home. He thrives being with people and will make a lovely member of the family. Milo adores cuddles and snuggling up with foster mum. He can be wary of new men initially so will need time to build trust to males both in and out of the home until his confidence builds. He enjoys his walks and loves to explore and go on lots of fun adventures. He is also looking for a home with a secure garden. He can be reactive to dogs on a walk and in busy environments so would suit walks in quieter areas and would benefit from some continued socialisation. Milo loves his toys and playtime and having lots of fun but then loves to curl up in a cosy bed or often on the sofa for a snooze.Milo would prefer to the only dog in the home so he can have all of the attention in the home. He would be able to live with sensible children over the age of 10 years. Milo can struggle with being left on his own so he is looking for a home where he can spend lots of time with his forever family. If Milo is the dog for you then please complete our Online Dog Application Form. All viewings are by application only.

About Milo

What life with Milo looks like

Milo is a young adult english bulldog dog waiting at RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
