Mina und Tula

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Mina und Tula are looking for a home together. But considering that the two ladies together weigh in at just over 7kg, adopting this double act is still only 1/7 of the size of the dog sitting on the couch next to me, using big eyes and a paw on my arm to encourage me to find a nice home for the two little crumbs. Mina und Tula arrived in the care of our friends at El Azar just a month ago. Before their rescue, the two lived under very poor conditions in a dilapidated apartment from which they hardly ever ventured. Animal welfare workers became aware of the little ladies and managed to convince the owners to take them with them to secure them a better future. Now, the Mini-Bodegueras live in a foster home in Almeria, hoping that a family will soon fall in love with them. Our two little flowers are two and a half years old, they have never been apart and need each other like air to breathe. In the darkest moments of their young lives, the other was the only anchor, and even though the dear girls aren’t shy around people, they are inseparable, whether playing, cuddling, begging, eating, sleeping, or on a walk. Generally, our princesses are more reserved and a bit shy, but they are curious, affectionate, and enjoy affection from those they know. Anyone interested in the two delicate terrier beetles must simply bring a little patience to secure the mini-warm bottles for the coming winter. Mina und Tula get on well with (understanding) cats, like children who understand that they need time to form a friendship, and are also friendly with other dogs. On the leash, Mina und Tula are exemplary, the explorer mode is activated, and they are delighted by the shared time in their newly won freedom. We hope very much that our two compact editions will soon embark on a wonderful future, a future with a family that will cherish and love them as two princesses deserve!

About Mina und Tula

What life with Mina und Tula looks like

Mina und Tula is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mina und Tula, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mina und Tula?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mina und Tula on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mina und Tula if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mina und Tula already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mina und Tula isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mina und Tula and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
