Misty came into our care with Tiny, and although we would usually look to rehome cats that arrive together, it soon became clear that these two are happy to go their separate ways. They have very little interest in one another, so Misty is looking for a home of her own. When Misty first arrived at the centre, she was extremely shy and spent much of her time hiding away. With a little patience, kindness, and reassurance, her true personality began to shine through. She is now a sweet, affectionate girl who enjoys human company and has so much love to give. As with many cats, Misty is likely to be nervous when she first moves into her new home. She'll need a quiet room to settle into initially, with plenty of hiding places, a cosy bed, food, water, and a litter tray. Giving her the time and space to adjust, while letting her come to you in her own time, will help her build confidence and feel safe. Misty could be happy as an indoor-only cat or in a home where she has safe access to the outdoors. If she is to have outdoor access, her new owners will need to keep her indoors for at least 4–6 weeks after adoption so she can fully settle in and recognise her new home as a safe place before venturing outside. Any outdoor access should be in a quiet, safe area away from busy roads and other hazards. Being only 11 months old, Misty is still very much a youngster. She'll benefit from plenty of playtime, toys, climbing opportunities, and enrichment to keep her active, stimulated, and happy. She has many years of love and companionship ahead of her and will thrive with a family who can continue building her confidence and giving her the attention she deserves.
