Molly

Golden Retriever Β· Female Β· Adult Β· 6 years

22-10-26 Molly is a happy girl who has come into our care from a breeder alongside her sister, Lisa, in search of a new start. She is a fairly confident girl who loves human company and gets very excited to see us, often jumping up to ask for a fuss. As Molly can be quite enthusiastic with her greetings, she would not be suitable for a home with small children. She enjoys playing with her toys and having fun in the big yard with her sister and kennel friends. Molly has a lovely, playful personality and will bring plenty of joy to her new family. Molly gets on wonderfully with other dogs and would be happy to share her home with canine companions. However, she may also be confident enough to be happy as the only dog in the right home, provided her adopters have previous experience of ex-breeding dogs and can help her adjust to life in a family home. She can live with older, dog-savvy children who are sensible and allow her to settle in her own time. As Molly has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient and understanding as she gets used to her new surroundings and learns what is expected of her. Molly can already walk on a harness, so once she has settled in, she would enjoy one or two walks around the local area with her new family. With her happy nature and love of attention, Molly has all the makings of a wonderful companion who will bring plenty of fun and affection to her forever home. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Molly

What life with Molly looks like

Molly is a large adult golden retriever dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible β€” a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Molly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Molly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Molly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Molly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Molly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Molly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Molly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
