Adopt Motylek

Mixed Breed · Female

Motylek - in the type of Border Status: for adoption This 15-kilogram female is not called Motylek without reason – gentle, sensitive, with a beautiful soul, yet she can show some character. She is looking for her person who will give her a calm, warm home and a lot of love, but also clear rules. Motylek quickly attaches to the caregiver, loves pats and closeness – when she feels safe, she becomes a real little sweetheart. On walks, she's a real detective lady – sniffs, reads all dog "sms" and walks slowly, without pulling. She prefers quiet areas, and when she feels comfortable, she can even play on the leash. Gets along well with dogs, especially with calm ones – she has a lot of dog wisdom. Reacts well to dog signals. She has become very attached to a calm dog in the temporary home and he is her big support in difficult situations. Assertive, straightforward girl. Cats? She gets a bit excited at the sight of them, so it's better if there are no furry kittens in the new home. Children? That's not exactly her energy – she doesn't like unpredictability, so she's looking for an adult, understanding caregiver. In the house, Motylek is a quiet roommate – she's not barking, stays calmly with another dog, and treats the bell as a short warning signal. She signals her needs subtly, so you need to watch her closely, especially when she drinks more water. In a car, she's a bit scared, but with each trip, she handles it better. At the vet – a model patient, despite her nervousness. Sometimes in stress, she can bark faster than think, so she needs someone who can calm her down and understand her. Motylek is a dog who will give her whole heart to someone who gives her peace, love and time. She is a wonderful, sensitive girl with character, who doesn't need marathons or loud parties – just a quiet home, a warm blanket and hands to pat. If you feel that you could create the perfect duet – write to us and meet Motylka. She is already spreading her wings to love someone forever! 🦋💛 —- DOG'S PROFILE —- 🧮 Year of birth: 03/2018 🚻 Sex: female 🐾 Size: medium - 15kg 🏀 Activity: medium ❤️ neutering: yes ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes ✅ dog is under the care of the Tricity branch of the Foundation for Puppies Judyta ✅ dog is located in a temporary home in the area of Tricity and surroundings ✅ Adoption requirement: filling out the questionnaire, pre-adoption visit and signing the adoption agreement ✅ LINK TO QUESTIONNAIRE:

U weterynarza – wzorowa pacjentka, mimo tremy. Czasami w stresie potrafi szybciej kłapnąć niż pomyśleć, dlatego potrzebuje kogoś, kto ją wyciszy i zrozumie.

About Motylek

What life with Motylek looks like

Motylek is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Motylek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Motylek?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Motylek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Motylek if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Motylek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Motylek isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Motylek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
