Adopt Mumin

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Mumin is a young, almost two-year-old dog who is going through a difficult time. Adopted as a puppy, he returned to the foundation after just over a year. The reason was emotional issues in the city's noise – Mumin barked at guests, passersby, and other dogs. This is just proof that this growing pup got lost in the world of stimuli and urgently needs a wise guide who will show him how to stay calm. In the shelter, Mumin shows his cheerful, youthful nature. He is an extremely friendly dog towards his caregivers – he is the type of "jumping kid" who loves contact and joint training. He already knows basic commands such as "sit," "lie down," and "paw." He gets along well with his dog roommates, although he can be a bit pushy and aggressive at first, testing the patience of new friends. Most importantly, Mumin maintains cleanliness perfectly and has no problems being left alone in the room. We are looking for a home for Mumin that is focused on active work and building the dog's confidence. A quieter area would be ideal, where stimuli will not overwhelm him. Mumin needs someone who won't be scared by his "snaps" during walks and will help him manage his emotions. He is a young, intelligent student who, with proper support, will quickly become a wonderful and stable life companion. — METRYCZKA — 🧮 Age: 08/2024 🚻 Gender: male 🐾 Size: 18kg 🏀 Activity: high ❤️ neutering: no (planned) ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes 📍 Location:

About Mumin

What life with Mumin looks like

Mumin is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mumin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mumin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mumin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mumin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mumin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mumin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mumin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
