Musa

Pointer · Female · Puppy · 6 months

Musa breed: Pointer gender: female born approximately January 2026 shoulder height: 46 cm compatible with dogs: yes compatible with children: yes compatible with cats: not tested Musa is just six months old and has already experienced things no living being should know - pain, fear, and loneliness. She was acquired for hunting. But when she developed problems with her eyes, the hunter only wanted to get rid of her. Her suffering: third eyelid gland prolapse, also called Cherry Eye. Something that can be brought under control with a small operation. The chances of recovery are very good. But of course, a visit to the veterinarian costs money. And a hunting tool is not worth it. When the Animaleas came to pick Musa up, she made herself very small, ducking under her hands as if expecting blows. She was so scared that even an accident happened. No young dog with a normal childhood reacts like this. But Musa has never stopped hoping. She wants to trust. She enjoys every caress she gets from the Animaleas. In the morning, when people start their work, she stands at the gate and wags her tail happily. Meanwhile, she has had eye surgery. Now all that remains is for the third eyelids to heal, and then it will be time to find a forever home. Musa is initially a bit shy, but her kind-hearted, friendly character quickly takes over, and then she seeks affection. Like any homeless animal, she deserves the best home in the world. Would you like to give her this home? You know that she still has a lot to learn, and you are willing to work patiently with her so that she soon becomes a happy young dog? Great! Check out our website right away and get in touch with us! We will then contact you.

Sie will vertrauen.

About Musa

What life with Musa looks like

Musa is a large puppy/kitten pointer dog waiting at Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Musa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Musa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Musa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Musa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Musa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Musa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Musa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
