Natilla &#8211

Mixed Breed · Female

Natilla is a charming female dog at her best age. At six and a half years old, she already brings some life experience with her, but at the same time she is curious, attentive and open to everything that life has to offer her. Optically she reminds of a dachshund mix on long legs. With a shoulder height of 44 cm and a weight of about 8 kg she is pleasant to handle without appearing delicate or fragile. Natilla approaches the world with an alert look and a friendly nature. She shows herself open and loving towards people, but sometimes needs a little moment in new situations to gain trust. It can be felt that she has not only had good experiences with humans. The more beautiful it is to see how she thaws when you encounter her calmly and lovingly. Then her affectionate, attached and very touching side comes to the fore. Even on walks Natilla already makes real joy. She runs very well on a leash, takes her surroundings attentively and shows a clever head while doing so. She is curious without being hectic and acts like a dog that likes to learn and orientates herself towards her humans. For people who enjoy walking with a sensitive dog, Natilla can be a wonderful companion. Even with children Natilla can get along very well if they are willing to wait until the affectionate dog makes contact on its own. All she needs for a bright future as a happy family dog is a home where she can arrive in peace and find people who give her security, patience and affection. Whoever gives her this chance gets a charming, loyal and affectionate dog by their side that still has a lot of love to give away.

DE·Show original

About Natilla &#8211

What life with Natilla &#8211 looks like

Natilla &#8211 is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Natilla &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Natilla &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Natilla &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Natilla &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Natilla &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Natilla &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Natilla &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
