Nero – Seeking a Mercy Spot for a German Shepherd Senior The ten-year-old Nero is fit and lively for his age; his blood tests are also good. Nero is very curious and interested and enjoys discovering new things and exploring his environment. Toward people, he is very friendly and open. Nero unfortunately only got to know very little in his life. That’s why he is still quite excited and even stormy in new situations. However, he has learned a lot at our animal shelter. It turns out that he can still learn at his age! He now walks better on the leash (but still pulls, especially when he sees something exciting), has become more calm in general, and behaves neutrally and more relaxed toward other dogs on walks. Nero loves walks, even long ones, and is open, curious, and eager to explore. However, his people must be able to handle a large and strong dog! Up until now, Nero could only make limited experiences with other animals, so he reacts differently in encounters. However, group walks with familiar dogs are no problem. He also handles environmental stimuli like cars, bicycles, etc., well. However, one must be “on it” in general when walking with Nero, as he can be corrected if necessary. We wish for Nero a quiet home with a large, well-fenced yard. Whoever loves German Shepherds and has a soft bed for our senior, would be making a huge gift by giving him that. A loving home for his golden years would be more than deserved!

Nero – Gnadenplatz gesucht für Schäferhund-Senior Der zehnjährige Nero ist für sein Alter fit und munter; auch seine Blutwerte sind gut. Nero ist sehr neugierig und interessiert und hat Freude, Neues zu entdecken und seine Umwelt zu erkunden. Den Menschen gegenüber ist er sehr freundlich und offen. Nero durfte in seinem Leben leider nur wenig kennenlernen. Deshalb ist er in neuen Situationen noch recht aufgeregt und auch stürmisch. Er hat aber bei uns im Tierheim schon viel dazu gelernt. Das geht nämlich auch noch in seinem Alter! Er läuft schon besser an der Leine (zieht aber immer noch, vor allem wenn er etwas Spannendes sieht), ist insgesamt in sich Ruhender geworden und verhält sich den Hunden in anderen Ausläufen gegenüber neutraler und entspannter. Nero liebt Spaziergänge, auch ausgedehnte, ist offen, neugierig und erkundungsfreudig. Seine Menschen müssen aber in der Lage sein, mit einem grossen und kräftigen Hund zurecht zu kommen! Mit seinen Artgenossen konnte Nero bis jetzt leider nur wenig Erfahrungen sammeln, daher reagiert er bei Begegnungen unterschiedlich. Gemeinsame Leinen-Spaziergänge mit bekannten Hunden sind aber kein Problem. Mit Umweltreizen wie Autos, Velos, etc. kommt er gut zurecht. Man muss aber insgesamt „bei der Sache sein“, wenn man mit Nero unterwegs ist, dann lässt er sich gegebenenfalls auch gut korrigieren. Wir wünschen uns für Nero ein ruhiges Zuhause mit einem grossen, gut eingezäunten Garten. Wer Schäferhunde liebt und ein weiches Bettchen für unseren Senior frei hat, der würde Nero damit ein riesiges Geschenk machen. Ein liebevolles Zuhause für seinen Lebensabend hätte er mehr als verdient!
