Nicky &#8211

Mixed Breed · Male

Nicky now lives in 88069 Tettnang. All the best, Nicky. Heartfelt thanks, Mrs. S. Nicky, a playful Waterdog-Border Mix of just over two and a half years (as of June 2025) waits with our friends in Sevilla for a new chance, to become the best friend of a family. Our dear curly-headed boy likes other dogs of any shape, size, and gender, he loves children, he is cuddly and active, he knows life in the house … so, why is the handsome gentleman behind bars? Well, Nicky chased a chicken of his owner’s, and unfortunately, that came to life. Nicky did what his instinct told him to – every dog owner should know how to react to such things, but Nicky’s owner locked his four-legged friend away and beat him. The so-called punishment, which was nothing but animal cruelty, ended up with a neighbor intervening and taking Nicky in. Since he couldn’t give Nicky a new home, the rescuer turned to Arca Sevilla for help. As bad as Nicky’s story is, it could bring so much luck for you and your family, because now our cheerful springer spaniel is ready to start a new life with people who understand and love him. Nicky is a young, active herding dog mix, and his genetic pool is shaped by highly intelligent working dogs. Nicky doesn’t take his daily schedule too seriously, but he wants to be challenged and supported. Additionally, he is always best in the middle of the action rather than just being part of it. The playful male dog is now searching for a home where his clever and witty nature is appreciated. He wishes for many joyful adventures with his new best friends, and the promise that he will never again have to experience how cruel humans can be when life doesn’t go as planned. Nicky is eager to learn and wants to be liked, he would surely also be a great companion for all dog sports enthusiasts, but he is also happy to be just the striker in the family’s home football team. If you have fallen in love with our curly-headed boy, if you are humorous and understanding, if you like to be outdoors and understand a lot about cuddling and loving, then we would be extremely happy to hear from you soon!

Nicky lebt jetzt in 88069 Tettnang. Alles Gute, Nicky.

About Nicky &#8211

What life with Nicky &#8211 looks like

Nicky &#8211 is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nicky &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nicky &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nicky &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nicky &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nicky &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nicky &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nicky &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
