adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Nisha has found its own home! Her story: Our black beauty Nisha had a stroke of luck and was able to move in with her foster family at the end of April, along with her sister Pamina. Nisha has beautiful, glossy fur with white paws and a cute white whisker. There is still an issue with her left front leg, which is currently being investigated. Since moving in with her foster family, she has shown what a special treasure she is: very friendly, incredibly cuddly, and full of love, always seeking the company of her people. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is child-friendly, uncomplicated, and brings joy to every day. Nisha has quickly adapted to the daily routine, is playful, and is happy to be included in activities, but also knows how to relax. Nisha has been house-trained from the start and is very affectionate and loving to cats. The little mouse has learned to walk on a leash very quickly, and her basic commands are already performed excellently in a quiet environment. She is very attentive to her people and her sister Pamina. Also, being left alone works well for three hours, although it hasn't been tested for longer periods. Driving is also no problem for the little Nisha; she usually sleeps and enjoys the journey. Nisha is a female dog with a gentle, balanced nature, who proves to be a perfect companion for walks and cuddle sessions. She is curious, always open to new friendships—both with people and other dogs. The pretty young female dog is expected to maintain her small to medium size. From her appearance, we suspect Nisha to be a Labrador mix, which might explain her typical Labrador curiosity. Labradors love to discover new things and show a clever mix of independence and cooperative spirit. They are active, whether on a walk, playing, or with small fetching tasks. Their alert mind makes Labradors eager learners who quickly understand what is expected of them. Originally from Baia Mare, Romania, Nisha was found there with her sister and brought to safety. Unfortunately, we do not know much about her past. The little Nisha is now searching for her forever home, where she will be loved and can continue to develop her wonderful qualities. If you feel drawn to her and would like to give her a loving home, please contact us. The sweet snout looks forward to meeting you! Nisha can be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped after a positive adoption. She comes with a valid EU pet passport. Would you like to take Nisha by the paw and enrich her life? We thank Michèle and Katja for giving her a beautiful name and thus a personal identity. As of May 11.

Stand: 11.05.2025

About Nisha

What life with Nisha looks like

Nisha is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nisha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nisha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nisha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nisha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nisha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nisha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nisha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
