Hallo lieve mensen, Ik ben Noga. Een cypers dametje met witte sokjes, en met mijn 15 jaar mag ik mezelf ondertussen met trots een echte oma noemen. Mijn hele leven heb ik buiten gewoond. Ik heb nestjes gehad en kende vooral de mensen die me af en toe eten gaven. Gelukkig hadden zij ook een klein hokje voor me gemaakt waar ik buiten kon schuilen. Veel meer zorg was er niet voor mij. Tot iemand zag dat er iets niet klopte. Ik liep namelijk nogal… bijzonder. En mijn vachtje was zo vervilt dat er dikke matten in zaten. Ze leken bijna wel kleine vleugels op mijn rug. Mijn veel te dikke winterjas werd gelukkig snel verwijderd en daarna werd ik grondig onderzocht. En toen bleek dat mijn gekke loopje helemaal niet zo gek was. Ik heb namelijk spondylose aan mijn rug en bekken. Dat verklaart waarom ik zo stijf liep en bewegen zo moeilijk voor me was. Gelukkig krijg ik nu maandelijks een prikje bij de dierenarts. En wat een verschil maakt dat! Ik loop veel soepeler en, het allerbelangrijkste, ik voel me ook veel beter! Ik ben bijna doof, dus ik hoor jullie misschien niet altijd aankomen. Maar geloof me… zodra ik merk dat mijn mensjes er zijn, word ik ontzettend blij! Want ik ben namelijk een echte knuffelkont. Als je binnenkomt, word je uitbundig begroet. Daarna probeer ik zo snel mogelijk op je schoot te kruipen om daar heerlijk neer te ploffen. En dan mag je mij aaien. Onder mijn kinnetje? Heerlijk. Over mijn buikje? Ook prima. Eigenlijk vind ik aandacht gewoon héél fijn. En ondanks mijn leeftijd heb ik nog steeds een klein jagertje in mij zitten. Geef mij een veertje en ik ben vertrokken! Dan vergeet ik even dat ik een oude dame ben en ga ik er helemaal in op. Het is zo fijn om te voelen dat dat speelse meisje nog altijd in mij zit. Natuurlijk slaap ik ook heel graag — ik ben tenslotte een omaatje — maar voor mijn leeftijd kan ik nog best een knap staaltje jachtwerk laten zien. Andere dieren vind ik eigenlijk niet zo spannend. Ik laat ze meestal lekker hun gang gaan… zolang ze maar niet té dicht bij mij komen. Ik heb mijn rust nodig en geef eerlijk toe: mijn mensjes deel ik liever niet met andere katjes. Ik heb graag alle aandacht voor mezelf. Daarom zoek ik een rustig huisje, waar mijn nieuwe mensen tijd voor mij hebben en begrijpen dat ik een oude dame ben die vooral wil genieten van haar welverdiende pensioen. Een appartement is voor mij bijvoorbeeld helemaal prima. Ik heb geen behoefte meer aan grote avonturen buiten. Liefs, Noga
