adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Nola can stay forever! Your story: Nola is one of ten puppies, all brought to safety in Bistrița with their mother. Unfortunately, one sibling did not make it, two were rehomed locally, and the rest are being raised by animal rescuer Diana Larissa. The mother is a friendly, medium-sized female dog weighing about 15 kilograms, and the father is unknown. Accordingly, we assume that Nola will also reach a pleasant, medium size later. Nola is a cute, young female puppy with soft, light fur and a watchful, inquisitive look. She shows puppy-like openness, playfulness, and friendliness towards people and other dogs. She loves exploring her surroundings, playing, and constantly seeking proximity. Like her siblings, she is social, open-minded, and brings the best prerequisites to develop into a great companion. Of course, Nola has not yet experienced life in a home. House training, leash manners, everyday noises, routines, and the small dog ABC must still be learned. Puberty also lies ahead, a phase where dogs often like to test boundaries and seemingly forget what they have learned. With patience, loving guidance, and positive reinforcement, Nola will master this time well. A positively working dog training class can be a wonderful support and at the same time strengthen the bond to their people. For Nola, we wish for a home with people who enjoy explaining the world to a young dog, bring the time and understanding to accompany her, and let her grow step by step. She brings everything that one could wish for in a family dog, now only her own home is missing. Nola travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport to her new home. Age-wise, she is not yet spayed. Who would like to show Nola how beautiful a protected dog life can be and grow with her? A heartfelt thank you to Saskia, who gave Nola her name and thus made the first step into a new life possible. As of: 10.02. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 10.02.2026

About Nola

What life with Nola looks like

Nola is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
