Olivia

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Olivia came into our care after being found alone and injured by a member of the public. She had cuts around her eyes, but thanks to the care of our veterinary team, she has made a full recovery with no lasting effects. She will need to continue using eye drops when she goes to her new home, so she'll need a new family with someone who is comfortable administering them. Her eyes will also be rechecked by our veterinary team when she returns for her second vaccination. Olivia is now feeling much better and is ready to find her forever home. Olivia is a sweet, gentle little lady with a calm nature. While she may be a little quieter than some of her more boisterous kitten friends, she enjoys affection, attention, and the company of both people and other kittens. She would love a home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace, with plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. Due to Olivia's shyer nature, she would prefer a home with older children aged 10+, who have a sensible approach to cats. It is unknown how she would react to other pets in the home.

About Olivia

What life with Olivia looks like

Olivia is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at USPCA.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Olivia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Olivia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. USPCA handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Olivia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Olivia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — USPCA will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Olivia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Olivia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with USPCA early rather than rehoming privately; they know Olivia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
