Sweet Otis is a fighter! Not in the traditional sense - you won’t see this boy scrapping, and his claws are purely ornamental - but with everything life has thrown at him, you’d have forgiven Otis for being angry, scared, or even just a bit grouchy. But Otis is consistently gentle and brave. When he came into our care, he was suffering from a severe infection in his teeth and jaw which had progressed into the bone. Estimated to be around 15 years old, when he should have been curled up in a comfy bed with a full tummy, Otis was instead drooling and in pain. But our Otis laughs in the face of adversity. Now, Otis doesn’t have two teeth to rub together and he is immeasurably happier for it. Otis’ hobbies include gumming his mashed food to death, cuddling, and playing with ping pong balls with all the enthusiasm of a cat 14 years younger. Otis is looking for a home and lap to call his own, ideally with someone who will be around a lot of the time to shower him in affection and prove to him that life really can be good at any age. For his portfolio, Otis has asked if he can show you all the amazing dental work he’s had done, and also his favourite red ping pong ball - and how could we say no to that face! In summary: Otis has no teeth, purrs like a tractor, and wants to spend the rest of his life with someone who will mash his food and give him forehead kisses.
