adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Paris has found a new home! His story: Paris is one of eight siblings – together with Mom Jella and the other puppies Jenai, Konrad, Nox, Hondo, Keani, Mandarine, and Aria, he was found in a ditch and raised up in the shelter in Busag. He had it the hardest of all: Right after rescue, he contracted Parvo. With lots of care, medical support, and a big fighter heart, he made it and is now a healthy, lively young dog. In the meantime, Paris was allowed to move to a foster home in Germany, and there he shows what a great family dog is in him. He is currently about 36 cm tall, weighs around 11 kg, and will grow to be a medium-sized dog. In his foster family, he lives with a dog, a cat, and two children – and gets along with all of them wonderfully. He thinks the only dog is great, the cat is respected and cuddled with, and the children are loved with warmth and affection. Paris is playful, open, and receptive. He is already learning the first basic commands diligently and doing a great job. He also handles house training almost perfectly. When it's time to cuddle, Paris is right there – he loves physical contact and makes every snuggle even more beautiful. Of course, Paris is also still a puppy with ideas in his head: He already likes to decorate the living room, drag an empty dish through the house, or steal shoes when no one is looking. This is not unusual for his age, but shows that his future family should bring humor, patience, and joy in loving upbringing. The puppyhood phase is still ahead of him – a phase where many things that have already worked well will be "forgotten" again and boundaries will be tested anew. For Paris, we wish active, warm-hearted people who are eager to work with him, show him the world, and guide him through life with clear structures. Then, this cheerful fighter will become a faithful companion for a lifetime. After a positive assessment, thank you to Fabienne H. Thanks to you, Paris has an identity and can now start his search for his Forever Home. Status: 13.01. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Lieben Dank an Fabienne H.. Stand: 13.01.2026

About Paris

What life with Paris looks like

Paris is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Paris, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Paris?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Paris on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Paris if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Paris already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Paris isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Paris and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
