Paula is a sprightly black-and-white energy package who, at night, romps around with her sisters and during the day, while people are around, stares intently at the caregivers’ activities with a determined look. Paula comes from a colony population but is still a bit cautious when it comes to unfamiliar cats. On the one hand, she’s curious and playful; on the other, she’s still somewhat distrustful. She doesn’t let any strange cat—not part of her own group—get close, yet she hasn’t started picking fights either. Paula is playful and loves to chase toys, and sometimes even wrestle with Pamela and Paloma, so definitely make sure there’s a lively feline companion waiting for her at home. It’s best to take your time getting to know her and proceed at the cats’ pace, as Paula is still somewhat reserved by nature. Paula might also be ready to move to a new home accompanied by a familiar feline friend. Paula watches people from the sidelines and may even peek around corners to investigate further, because deep down, she’s naturally curious. She doesn’t let anyone touch her and doesn’t dare eat treats straight from a human’s hand, though she’ll happily gobble up candies placed near or right in front of her nose—though perhaps with a bit of a wary glance and a hiss if someone gets too close and seems overly curious. Paula is slippery and feisty to handle, but usually avoids or flees if a person seems too intimidating. She’s fascinated by feather toys and might even try to grab them occasionally. The best way to continue socializing her would be gradually, integrating it into the routines of her new home. While living at the shelter, Paula has been an omnivore, and food has been served in active bowls to discourage begging. Paula also enjoys small toys that she can kick around and toss about like prey in her own space. Her beautiful little snub nose is still shy, but she’s active and playful—and her new home should be patient and calm so that this lady can learn to trust and adjust comfortably to life as a pet. Paula on sähikäinen mustavalkoinen energiapakkaus, joka öisin riehuu siskojensa kanssa ja päivisin ihmisten aikana tuijottaa tuimalla katseellaan hoitajien touhuja. Paula on peräisin populaatiosta mutta on vähän varovainen vielä vieraiden kissojen seurassa. Hän on toisaalta utelias ja leikkisä, mutta toisaalta vielä hieman epäluuloinen. Vierasta kissaa, joka ei ole omaa porukkaa, Paula ei laske lähelle mutta riitaa ei ole alkanut haastamaan. Paula on leikkisä ja tykkää olla hippasilla ja joskus painiakin Pamelan ja Paloman kanssa, joten ehdottomasti kotoa täytyy löytä reipas kissakaveri. Tutustuttamiseen on hyvä käyttää aikaa ja edetä kissojen ehdoilla koska Paula on luonteeltaan vielä hieman varautunut. Paula voisi myös lähteä uuteen kotiin jo tutun kissakaverin kanssa. Paula seuraa sivusta ihmisten tekemisiä ja saattaa tulla vähän tutkimaan perästäkin kulman taakse, sillä hän on pohjimmiltaan kuitenkin utelias. Paula ei anna koskettaa eikä uskalla syödä nameja kädestä, mutta syö kyllä nenun eteen tai lähistölle tarjolle jätetyt karkit – vaikkakin ehkä vähän mulkoillen ja liian lähellä ihmettelevälle ihmiselle sähisten. Paula on liukas ja pippurinen käsitellä, mutta yleensä väistää tai pakenee jos ihminen on liian pelottava. Huiskalelut kiinnostavat, ja joskus saattaa kokeilla ottaa leluja kiinnikin. Kesyttelyä olisi mukavinta jatkaa oman kodin rutiinien opettelun lomassa. Paula on ollut toimitilalla asuessaan kaikkiruokainen, ja ruoka on tarjottu aktiiviastioista hotkimisen estämiseksi. Paula pitää myös pikkuleluista joita voi omissa oloissaan potkumurhata ja heitellä kuin saalista. Kaunis pikku nokinenä on vielä arka, mutta aktiivinen ja leikkisä ja oman kodin olisikin oltava kärsivällinen ja rauhallinen, jotta leidi saa opetella luottamusta ja lemmikin elämään sopeutuminen sujuisi mukavasti.
