Adopt Pearl

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 2 months

Size: Likely to be a small adult size by the end of January 2026 travel arrangements end January 2026. Location: Romania 🐶🐾 Pearl – delicate little explorer seeks her forever home 🖤 Pearl is approximately 2 months old (as of 09.12.2025) and one of six adorable puppies found alone on the street by our animal rescuer. Her start in life was far from easy – without a mother, the little ones would have had little chance in the winter. Thankfully, all six are now safely in the shelter, but for such small puppy pups, that’s not a place to grow up. Pearl is now ready to explore the world and find her forever home where she will be loved, protected, and nurtured. Since the puppies only arrived at the shelter on 08.12.25, we can’t yet fully assess their behavior. But as befits a little girl puppy, Pearl surely brings a lot of curiosity, joy, and heart. For Pearl, we wish for a loving home with patience, time, and lots of affection that will give her security and guide her step by step into puppyhood. Who adopts Pearl will get a little, joyful soul with a big heart – and a loyal friend for life. 💕🐾 Pearl is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, not yet neutered, and has been checked by a vet and is in possession of a Eu-Animal Passport. All our dogs travel with official transport documents and Paragraph 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases via a rapid test. The adoption fee is 500€ plus 30€ for the purchase of safety gear. Note: When we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we base this on their outward appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This assignment is made with the best of intentions and knowledge of the club and the involved veterinarians. However, these descriptions do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), as their reliable determination would only be possible through DNA analysis. Furthermore, the behavioral and character description of each animal is based on careful observations by the animal welfare workers on site or by the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments are based solely on the current local conditions in the intake or foster homes.

About Pearl

What life with Pearl looks like

Pearl is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pearl, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pearl?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pearl on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pearl if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pearl already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pearl isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pearl and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
