Peikko etsii kotia hyvin rauhalliselta asuinalueelta Peikosta otetaan tällä hetkellä kyselyjä vastaan AINOASTAAN sähköpostitse. Kerrothan kattavasti koirakokemuksestasi ja millainen koti sinulla olisi tarjota Peikolle. Rekisteröity kiinanharjakoira Peikko etsii uutta kotia. Peikko saapui yhdistykselle muutaman ystävänsä kanssa kotia etsimään. Peikko on luonteeltaan herkkä tyttö joka arkailee uusia ihmisiä ja joitakin tilanteita, luultavasti ihmiskontaktit ovat jääneet aiemmin vähäisiksi. Omaan ihmiseen kiintyy nopeasti ja hakeekin läheisyyttä sekä rapsutuksia. Peikko tulee toimeen toisten koirien kanssa, pienet ja isot kaverit kelpaavat hyvin. Mahdollisten ongelmien välttämiseksi Peikko sijoitetaan mieluiten sosiaalisen uroskoiran kaveriksi. Koirien tulee tavata ainakin kerran ennen kotiutuspäätöstä. Peikko vahtii ruokaansa sekä jossain määrin myös petiään toisilta koirilta. Tulevassa kodissa tuleekin varautua järjestämään koirien ruokailu eri tilassa mahdollisten ongelmien välttämiseksi. Ihmistä kohtaan ei ole esiintynyt kupin tai pedin vahtimista. Peikko on luonteeltaan arka joten tulevalla kodilla tulisi olla kokemusta arasta koirasta. Peikko pelkää ulkoillessa paljon liikennettä, ohi ajavat autot, mopot ja sähköpotkulaudat ovat pelottavia. Tulevan kodin tuleekin sijaita rauhallisella asuinalueella jotta vältetään turha stressi ulkoillessa. Peikkoa ei sijoiteta pienten lasten perheeseen, mahdollisesti voisi jo isompien, teini-ikäisten lasten kanssa jotka eivät enää ole niin eläväisiä liikkeissään. Automatkustaminen sujuu ongelmitta vaikka autoja ulkoillessa pelkääkin, niiden sisällä on kuitenkin turvallista. Yksinolo on sujunut sijaiskodin koirien kanssa ongelmitta, ei ole tehnyt mitään tuhoja tai pitänyt meteliä. Peikolle etsitään mieluiten aikuiskotia omakotitalosta jossa elämä on jo rauhallisempaa ja tasaista. Tulevan kodin tulee sitoutua huolehtimaan koiran koulutuksesta positiivisen vahvistamisen kautta ja antaa koiralle aikaa tottua uuteen ympäristöön sekä ihmisiin. Koiran käytös voi myös poiketa kuvauksesta uuteen kotiin siirtyessään jolloin kaikki jo opittu voidaan joutua opettamaan uudelleen. Peikko on sijaiskodissa Uudellamaalla jonne tyttöön pääsee sovitusti tutustumaan. Painoa Peikolla on noin 8kg.
