Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 4 years

Name: Piano. Breed: Mix Age: born June 2015. Gender: male Size: 56 cm. Neutered: male / neutered Location / Country: Germany ZIP: 44791 City: Bochum Description Piano – a very loving dog soul is looking for his forever home. Piano lived in Italy and had little hope left for life. But then his fate took a turn, and new hope was kindled. In January 2022, Piano was allowed to leave Italy and travel to Germany. A wonderful family in 44791 Bochum had found him a temporary home, known as a foster home. Now, almost a year has passed since Piano's arrival at his foster home, and it is time to find this sweet dog man a forever home. After his arrival in Bochum, Piano quickly settled in and learned to appreciate the benefits of a beautiful life with people who love and protect him. Piano is always very cuddly and affectionate with both his foster family and other people. The little rascal loves being close to humans and always tries to please, making a great effort to do everything right. Inside the house, Piano is a very, very loving and unobtrusive dog who gets along very well with his fellow animals, who also live in his foster home. He is gentle, calm, and extremely easy to care for. Even when it comes to food, there is no fight or food envy. Outside the home, Piano is a fantastic dog; he walks well on a leash, listens very well to commands, and generally gets along well with his fellow animals of both genders. If someone becomes too pushy, Piano knows how to defend himself. Piano is a dog with stamina and energy; he needs exercise and movement. A home with people who enjoy having other dogs and a house with a large garden would be perfect. However, Piano's new "dog parents" should also enjoy long dog walks. Are you interested in Piano? Please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you. Piano is also eagerly looking forward to meeting you! Cat-friendly: unknown. Compatible with fellow animals: with male dogs, with female dogs Contact person: Frau Gerlinde Kolubka Email: « Toy (von Olivia) Ledy ». Gets along with other dogs.

Name: Piano. Rasse: MixAlter: geboren Juni 2015.

About Piano (ehemals Bengi)

What life with Piano (ehemals Bengi) looks like

Piano (ehemals Bengi) is a very small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Adozioni del cuore e.V. in Wedel.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Piano (ehemals Bengi), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Piano (ehemals Bengi)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adozioni del cuore e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Piano (ehemals Bengi) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Piano (ehemals Bengi) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adozioni del cuore e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Piano (ehemals Bengi) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Piano (ehemals Bengi) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adozioni del cuore e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Piano (ehemals Bengi) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
