Adopt Pochola

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 4 months

The approximately 2-year-old cat mother Pochola and her very young kittens Perico and Frescales (Siam) urgently need a new, safe home. Unfortunately, the little family has been through a lot: The three were rescued from a house where the owner did not provide adequate care for them. They are now in the care of our Spanish partners, who are nursing them back to health until they can hopefully move into their new home soon. Pochola is a wonderful cat mother, loving and social. The two kittens are now old enough that they no longer need their mother. Pochola is now looking for a loving home where she can finally settle down. Pochola is currently still in Spain. She will be vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped upon entry. Additionally, she has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Pochola will also be neutered in Spain. Can the dear Pochola find her place of comfort with you?

About Pochola

What life with Pochola looks like

Pochola is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pochola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pochola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pochola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pochola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pochola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pochola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pochola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
