Pochola

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Unfortunately, my two kittens and I have tested positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV). Therefore, I’m looking either for a home to share with one of my kittens or for a home that already has FeLV-positive cats. Please don’t let this discourage you—cats can live happily, actively, and without any symptoms for many years even with an FeLV diagnosis. Right now, my two little ones and I are doing great. I’m about two years old and the mom of Perico and Frescales. Together, we were rescued from a home where, unfortunately, we weren’t cared for properly. Luckily, we’re now safe and sound with our kind animal protectors in Spain. Here, we’re being lovingly cared for and given time to settle down and relax. My two little boys are now big enough to explore the world on their own paws. That’s why I’m now longing for my very own forever home—a place where I can finally feel at home and be loved. I’m a sweet, social, and cuddly cat. After everything I’ve been through, all I really long for is a calm, secure home filled with warmth and safety, where I can stay forever. Since I’m very social, I’d love to have a compatible feline companion by my side. If that’s not possible, I’ll need people who can spend plenty of time with me and give me lots of closeness, attention, and stimulation so I won’t feel lonely. At the moment, I’m still living in Spain. If I get to travel to my new family, I’ll be vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and already spayed/neutered. Plus, I’ve tested negative for FIV. Maybe you’ll give me the chance for a fresh start and show me just how wonderful a safe home can be. Could I find my happy place with you? ❤️

About Pochola

What life with Pochola looks like

Pochola is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pochola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pochola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pochola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pochola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pochola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pochola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pochola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
