His story: The sweet Popeye is not only an absolute visual highlight – his personality is simply charming! The sweet puppy Popeye is on the lookout for his family. About 2 years old, the little man is now and has a nice medium size of approximately 58 cm shoulder height with around 24kg. And that, even though he has unfortunately never had spinach! He is friendly and compatible with other dogs. However, he needs to slowly get to know them, as he can be a bit unsure at first. Popeye is playful, curious, and surely has a few ideas in his head, fitting his age. However, in his new home, no cats or small pets should live, as Popeye shows a prey drive here. Unfortunately, the handsome Popeye, with his beautiful black and white fur, had to spend his puppyhood in the kennel. He longed so much to finally have his own family and discover the world. Now, the young male dog could finally travel to his foster home in Munich and be visited there. Popeye is likely a Lab mix or maybe even a hunting dog mix and shows more and more his wonderful and witty personality. When he first got cottage cheese, he was as happy as a little child 😀 Popeye is still going through a bit of puberty. The time when hormones like to play tricks. Here, a lot of love and patience are needed and a loving but consistent upbringing. Besides attending a positively working dog training class and physical exertion, one should also try to find out which mental challenges could be suitable for Popeye, such as heeling, agility, or sniffing and searching games. With enough physical and mental exertion, Popeye will surely develop into a great companion. And of course, plenty of cuddle hours should not be missing. As Popeye is currently a bit stressed from the shelter and the adjustment, we are looking for a more rural and quiet place for him, without small children. He wants to arrive in peace and be able to adapt to everything at his own pace. Popeye is still a bit unsure around strangers or other dogs outside. Here, he needs to be slowly introduced and still needs support from his primary caregiver, which is all good and not a danger to him. Experience with dog training or hunting dogs would be advantageous for Popeye. Popeye is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Seine Geschichte: Der süße Popeye ist nicht nur optisch ein absolutes Highlight – auch sein Charakter ist einfach liebenswert! Der süßer Hundeteenie Popeye ist auf der Suche nach seiner Familie. Etwa 2 Jahre alt ist der kleine Mann nun und hat eine schöne mittlere Größe von geschätzten ca. 58 cm Schulterhöhe mit ca. 24kg. Und das, obwohl er bisher leider noch nie Spinat bekommen hat! Er ist freundlich und verträglich mit anderen Hunden. Er muss diese aber langsam kennenlernen, da er anfangs etwas unsicher ist. Popeye ist verspielt, neugierig und bringt sicherlich auch einige Flausen im Kopf mit, ganz entsprechend seinem Alter. Allerdings sollten in seinem neuen zu Hause keine Katzen oder Kleintiere leben, denn Popeye zeigt hier einen Jagdtrieb. Leider musste der hübsche Popeye, mit der schönen Schwarz-Weißen-Fellfarbe, seine Welpenzeit im Zwinger verbringen. Er sehnte sich so sehr danach, endlich eine eigene Familie zu haben und die Welt zu entdecken. Jetzt konnte der junge Rüde endlich in seine Pflegestelle nach München ausreisen und kann dort besucht werden. Popeye ist vermutlich ein Labbi- oder evtl. auch Jagdhund-Mix und zeigt immer mehr seinen wundervollen und witzigen Charakter. Als er das erste Mal Hüttenkäse bekam, hat er sich gefreut, wie ein kleines Kind 😀 Popeye steckt dazu noch ein wenig in der Pubertät. Die Zeit, in der die Hormone gerne mal verrückt spielen. Hier sind viel Liebe und Geduld gefragt und eine liebevolle, aber konsequente Erziehung. Neben dem Besuch einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule und körperlicher Auslastung, sollte man darüber hinaus auch versuchen herauszufinden, welche geistigen Herausforderungen für Popeye in Frage kommen könnten, wie z.B. Mantrailing, Agility, oder Schnüffel- und Suchspiele. Mit genügend körperlicher und geistiger Auslastung wird Popeye sich ganz schnell zu einem tollen Begleiter entwickeln. Und viele Kuschelstunden dürfen selbstverständlich auch nicht fehlen. Da Popeye aktuell noch etwas gestresst vom Shelter und der Umstellung ist, suchen wir einen eher ländlichen und ruhigen Platz für ihn, ohne kleine Kinder. Er möchte in Ruhe ankommen und sich in seinem Tempo an alles gewöhnen können. Popeye ist draußen noch etwas unsicher mit fremden Menschen oder Hunden. Hier muss er langsam rangeführt werden und braucht noch Unterstützung von seiner Bezugsperson, das alles gut ist und keine Gefahr für ihn besteht. Erfahrung mit der Hundeerziehung oder auch Jagdhunden wären von Vorteil bei Popeye. Popeye ist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Er bringt seinen EU-Heimtierausweis mit und kann nach positiver Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro in seine neue Familie ziehen. Wer schenkt dem tollen Popeye sein Herz?
