This was already the third time, but it is still not clear to the people involved that when animals are regularly taken away and you receive a ban, this means that you must not and may not bring new animals into the house. The animals were again neglected and were in poor housing, so the shelter is an upgrade for them. Lizzy came to the shelter pregnant and gave birth to 6 puppies on July 8. We do not know who the father is, so the puppies are (probably) crossbreeds of a Beagle. The mother of the puppies is a more anxious dog. She finds new people exciting, which she reacts to by barking. With familiar people she is very affectionate and gentle, but she needs time to get used to people. Noises on the street are also scary, and we also see these fears at times with the puppies. New situations can be scarier, which is why the puppies withdraw. They like to come and explore people, sit on their laps and, as puppies do, they like to investigate with their mouths. They like to play, are already being trained to be clean and a lot of work is being done to socialize with sounds. The TV is on, they grow up at home and even a ukulele is played for them. For these puppies we are looking for people who are more at home in the first period, so that further work can be done on becoming clean and building up being alone. A house with a garden is important and the owners will have to take into account the genetic predisposition to react more anxiously to new things. Alvast bedankt voor uw begrip* Kan met andere honden: ja Kan met katten: ja Kan op een appartement: nee, een huis met een tuin Kan met kinderen: ja, afhankelijk van de pup 8+ Op een voor ons bekend adres werd een controle uitgevoerd door de dierenpolitie, waarbij wederom meerdere honden en twee katten in beslag werden genomen. Dit was al de derde keer, maar blijkbaar is het voor de betrokken mensen nog steeds niet duidelijk dat, wanneer er regelmatig dieren worden weggehaald en je een verbod krijgt, dit betekent dat je geen nieuwe dieren meer in huis moet en mag halen. De dieren werden opnieuw verwaarloosd en zaten in slechte huisvesting, waardoor het asiel voor hen een upgrade is. Lizzy kwam drachtig het asiel binnen en is op 8 juli bevallen van 6 pups. We weten niet wie de vader is, waardoor de pups (vermoedelijk) kruisingen van een Beagle zijn. De moeder van de pups is een angstigere hond. Ze vindt nieuwe mensen spannend, waar ze op reageert door te blaffen. Naar bekende mensen is ze heel aanhankelijk en zachtaardig, maar ze heeft tijd nodig om te wennen aan mensen. Geluiden op straat zijn ook eng, en deze angsten zien we ook met momenten bij de pups. Nieuwe situaties kunnen sneller eng zijn, waarbij de pups zich terugtrekken. Ze komen graag mensen verkennen, zitten op schoot en zoals pups dat graag doen, onderzoeken ze heel graag met hun bek. Ze vinden het leuk om te spelen, worden al goed getraind om zindelijk te worden en er wordt veel gewerkt aan het socialiseren met geluiden. De tv staat aan, ze groeien in huis op en er wordt zelfs met een ukelele gespeeld voor hen. Voor deze pups zoeken we mensen die de eerste periode wat meer thuis zijn, zodat er verder kan worden gewerkt aan het zindelijk worden en het alleen zijn kan worden opgebouwd. Een huis met tuin is belangrijk en de eigenaren zullen rekening moeten houden met de genetische aanleg om angstiger te reageren op nieuwe zaken.
