Queen CoCo

Beagle · Female · Young · 3 years

Meet Coco, our lovely three year old beagle who came to us from another animal charity. She has as very happy go lucky personality and is always eager to please. She travels well, walks nicely and of course enjoys a good sniff whilst out on her walks. She loves going off lead in the secure paddock, and being food motivated has helped with her training. She knows sit, give paw and begs with both front legs when asked. Coco is more independent and enjoys exploring at her own pace. She regularly uses her nose and likes to investigate her surroundings. One of her favourite activities this has been scent work. She engaged really well with it, spending time sniffing around and searching thoroughly. Scent-basedenrichment appears to suit her well and gives her a positive outlet for her natural Beagle behaviours. Coco has some restricted mobility for a dog her age and would benefit someone who is happy to provide her with a supplement such as Yumove or similar, being young she does not require medication but likely in her senior years to need some support for arthritis. Due to this we are not looking for a massively active home but ideally a home where she can enjoy walks and enrichment along with company most of the day whilst settling into a new routine. Coco can have walking friends and is best suited to a home as the only pet. If you feel Coco may be the the beautiful beagle for you please apply, our rehoming team will be in contact shortly.

About Queen CoCo

What life with Queen CoCo looks like

Queen CoCo is a young adult beagle dog waiting at Oak Tree Animals in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Queen CoCo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Queen CoCo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Oak Tree Animals handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Queen CoCo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Queen CoCo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Oak Tree Animals will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Queen CoCo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Queen CoCo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Oak Tree Animals early rather than rehoming privately; they know Queen CoCo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
