Reggie

English Bulldog · Male · Adult · 7 years

Reggie is a lovely 7-year-old French Bulldog who is looking for his forever home. Reggie is a real cuddle bug and loves nothing more than spending time with his favourite people. He is happiest when he’s close to his humans, soaking up all the attention and enjoying plenty of cuddles. But Reggie isn’t all about relaxing he also loves to play with his toys! He enjoys having fun and can happily entertain himself with his favourite toys before settling down for some well earned cuddles. When it comes to other dogs, Reggie could have doggy friends to enjoy walks with, but when at home he would much prefer to be the only dog in the household. He is an easy going boy when it comes to walks and enjoys getting out and about for some fresh air and a little adventure. Reggie is also crate trained, giving him a lovely skill to take with him into his new home. *Reggie is currently undergoing medical treatment while our veterinary team investigates possible allergies. His future family will need to be prepared to continue supporting him with his treatment and any ongoing care he may need.* Reggie is a sweet, affectionate and playful boy with lots of love to give. He’s now hoping to find a special family who will give him the time, care, cuddles and attention he deserves.

About Reggie

What life with Reggie looks like

Reggie is a adult english bulldog dog waiting at Animal Concern Cumbria in Egremont.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Reggie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Reggie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Concern Cumbria handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Reggie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Reggie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Concern Cumbria will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Reggie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Reggie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Concern Cumbria early rather than rehoming privately; they know Reggie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
