Romie
Beagle Β· Male Β· Young Β· 3 years
We don't know much about Romie's background but we believe this may not be the poor lad's first time in rescue. He's a bright boy who loves to go on adventures with his handlers, and enjoys meeting people on his travels. He's a lot less keen on other dogs but he's making great progress with his handlers, and learning to ignore them. Romie will need this training to be kept up at home, and as he's such a smart boy, he would do really well with a family who were training minded and wanted to teach him other things. Romie is really playful and especially likes bouncy balls, and he takes his treats ever so gently. As part of their assessments, we see how willing our dogs are to get in a car, and Romie was so happy about this that it was harder to get him out again! We're going to suggest that he might be a fan of car travel. Romie is looking for a quiet home, ideally away from busy roads, where he can be the only pet. He can live with children of high school age. We have very limited history for Romie but he may have already spent a year in rescue elsewhere, so might need a house training refresher. Romie climbs fences easily so will need to be supervised in his garden.
