Adopt Roza

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Roza sought help on her own and ran to a farm, hoping she could stay there. Unfortunately, this was not possible, so she is now waiting for a home of her own where she can finally belong. Roza shows her most beautiful side to people. She is very friendly, affectionate, and actively seeks closeness. She also likes children, which is why we can generally imagine her in a family. However, due to her size and strength, children should be stable and know how to respect dogs. Roza is a large, strong female dog with an alert mind. She is intelligent, attentive, and wants to please. For people who enjoy working with their dog and giving her clear guidance, Roza can become a wonderful companion. At encounters with other dogs, Roza is currently very excited. She barks, wants to go and appears rather confident. Whether she is generally compatible with other dogs, we cannot say for sure at the moment. Therefore, we are looking for Roza to have a home as a single dog or for people who have experience with confident, clear leadership. Roza needs people who see her loving side and at the same time give her security and structure. With patience, consistency, and heart, she can learn to manage dog encounters more calmly and orient herself more strongly to her person. Roza is now waiting for people who want to give a loyal, affectionate, and intelligent female dog a real chance. Whoever gives her support, closeness, and a loving home will get a loyal companion who gives her heart completely to her people. Please have some patience! Our animals travel with Traces and are only placed throughout Germany.

About Roza

What life with Roza looks like

Roza is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Glück für Pfoten e.V. in Dortmund.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Roza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Roza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glück für Pfoten e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Roza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Roza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glück für Pfoten e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Roza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Roza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glück für Pfoten e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Roza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
