During daily walks and as long as he is not pressured, he shows a friendly and carefree side. He is a cheerful little fellow who curiously explores his surroundings and often comes to collect a tidbit or two. Some readers might think: "Such a little dog, and he looks so cute!" – but behind our Sammy, there's more! It's likely that he experienced similar treatment in his past, like many small dogs. Young and cute when acquired, his upbringing was probably neglected, and his needs were overlooked. Often, a growl from a small breed is dismissed as cute or playful, rather than understood as a warning and a sign of discomfort. Thus, Sammy has learned to use his teeth in all situations that go against his wishes. He therefore seeks a home with experienced dog owners who can read his body language and who can patiently teach him that his teeth should only be used for eating and playthings. Given these circumstances, Sammy wishes for a home without children. He would hunt cats and small animals. For other dogs, his acceptance depends on their sympathy.

Er ist ein fröhliches Kerlchen, das neugierig seine Umwelt erkundet und gerne kommt, um das ein oder andere Leckerchen einzusammeln Der eine oder andere Leser wird hier vielleicht denken: „So ein kleiner Hund, und er sieht doch so putzig aus!“ – aber hinter unserem Sammy steckt mehr! Vermutlich erging es ihm in seiner Vergangenheit wie so vielen kleinen Hunden.Jung und niedlich angeschafft, wurde vermutlich seine Erziehung vernachlässigt und seine Bedürfnisse übergangen.Oft wird gerade bei kleinen Rassen ein Knurren als lustig oder süß abgetan, statt es als Warnung und Signal des Unwohlsein zu verstehen.Somit hat unser Sammy gelernt, seine Zähne einzusetzen und zwar in sämtlichen Situationen, die ihm gegen den Strich gehen. Er sucht daher ein hundeerfahrenes Zuhause, bei Menschen die seine Körpersprache lesen können und die ihm mit viel Geduld beibringen, dass seine Zähne ausschließlich zur Nahrungsaufnahme und zum Spielzeug tragen benutzt werden sollten. Diesen Umständen entsprechend wünscht Sammy sich ein Zuhause ohne Kinder. Katzen und Kleintiere würde er jagen.Bei anderen Hunden entscheidet die Sympathie.
