SAMUEL

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Samuel - super friendly dog boy, wants to be loved! Male, born approx. 07/2024, likely to grow large, vaccinated, dewormed, chipped, EU passport. - Still waiting in Romania! Samuel is a Romanian street dog who was found alone and starving, he was just skin and bones, on a busy street. He was overjoyed when our animal rescuer discovered him and took him in. On the first day, he couldn't stop eating. He had a close relationship with his foster mother from the first minute and always sought her affection. He is crying out for attention and affection. Samuel also likes children and gets along well with all the other puppies and cats. He likes to play with the puppies, but he never gets too wild. He is a pleasant puppy who likes to be close to people. Of course, Samuel is still a rough diamond who has to learn everything that belongs to a family dog and should therefore attend dog school with his new owners. Since Samuel loves people, he won't find it difficult to learn. We are looking for a loving home for Samuel with time or a foster home. Before departure, test for babesiose, borreliosis, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis, dirofilaria and leishmaniasis. Samuel is still in Romania. - Contribution to costs when

SAMUEL -super freundlicher Hundejunge, will geliebt werden !

About SAMUEL

What life with SAMUEL looks like

SAMUEL is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting SAMUEL, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about SAMUEL?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw SAMUEL on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt SAMUEL if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is SAMUEL already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if SAMUEL isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know SAMUEL and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
